SPOILER Description Of The Eldritch Outlook Dungeon

Not 100% sure of my info, but it should be pretty accurate. Also @ThePurpleEmerald thought you might appreciate this.

Part 1: A mirror room. You have to flip back and forth between the two sides of the mirror for mobs to keep spawning. Only the mobs on the side with the token collector drop tokens, if I remember correctly. The mobs are mainly burst ranged, with perhaps 15k to 25k health. 16 tokens needed.

Part 2: A walkway over some weird whirlpool/eye thing beneath, with a large swarm of mobs. Ignore them, or kill them if the pull spells hamper you, and run to the end.

Intermediate room: Spiral staircase, if I remember correctly.

Part 3: A series of "ascending" miniboss one-token rooms (four or five total, don't remember). Spawns one miniboss and a bunch of minions. Some of the lower rooms have two doorways/token collectors - I always took the left side doorway, I don't know what the difference is.

Intermediate room: A few small rooms. Note that one of these has glass blocks that haven't been replaced with barriers, which also happens to have a gap - don't fall, it's quite challenging to get back in.

Part 4: Invisible parkour, with the platforms visible as white shadows on the floor. Four sections, each higher up and a bit harder than the last.

Boss waiting room: Standard. The doorway disappearing animation is really cool though.

Others experienced a yield of nearly 2 million exp raw, but I only got around 1 million (I leveled up from 101 to 102). So... not sure. Maybe that solo was before the recent patch? Anyway, the xp feels really low for such a challenging dungeon.

After beating the dungeon once, you can walk out into the void islands to reach the place where the Portal to Dern will eventually be. There's also a portal back to Lutho, if you need it.

Does this mean that assassin, archer, warrior, and mage would be able to interrupt the mob from getting to the eye by using their respectful displace/freezing ability? (assassin spin/multihit, archer arrow shield, warrior war scream, mage ice snake) or is it like some mobs where they cannot be displaced?

 

Major just confirmed that the mob actually just triggers on a timer, rather than when it reaches the eye (even though it can be held in place). Which makes fighting it as non archer or assassin quite tough...

 

are the rewards known yet? this kinda makes me wanna buy hero ngl

It's the "Huge Wave" spell. It's the same as Wave and Heavy Wave, but it travels 60 blocks instead of 15 or 25. Not "Wavefront". How tough was it to solo?

Due to some internet issues, I was kicked from the game while me and a group including @Chigo_ were fighting the eye. As i logged back in, I had been seperated from them, as they had died, and placed at the beginning if the boss fight.

i ended up having to Solo the eye up until the end of phase 4, when I was rescued by my friends.

It isn’t incredibly hard. Not a lot will damage you if you stay at an appropriate distance from the Eye, and kill its minions swiftly. The most dangerous attack is the Wretches, but that’s mostly due to my meteor not being able to hit the advancing one. All in all I’m sure it is a pretty difficult boss, but not ridiculous if I was able to solo it


Also @Druser you missed a few spells. Around the arena particles will indicate a Hole is forming. If you fall into these holes, you will drop down right in front of the Eye, which could easily spell your demise. This begins at Stage 2

Red Tentacles will extend beside the Eye sometime during Stage 1, on them will be block mobs that fire what seems like burst attacks, similar to the Eye, but this may be incorrect.

Tougher than any other boss in the game I'd say. I came close to dying a few times.

What do the Wave, Heavy Wave, Wavefront, and Huge Wave spells do?

 

hahaha i made the psychedelic room with the blue and red floor and the white shadow parkour and retextured the maelstrom and this one room that youre really high up and its supposed to give you vertigo because im evil and i laughed the ENTIRE time

 

invis parkour is hard as hell ngl, especially the 4th part. Took up the most time and probably would piss off a lot of people, unless that me dying 34 times is an outlier.

 

Wavefront doesn't exist.

All variants of wave send out a moving wall of water that pushes you back and damages you as it goes.

 

I just made up the name "wavefront" because we didn't know the name at the time afaik. Glad I guessed the concept correctly.

I don't remember either of those rooms existing? Are you referring to the pathway over the swirly something? (you never really get to see the swirls because you're focused on crossing the path- would be neat if the path was stained glass or something).
