Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“That wasn’t so hard now, was it?” Idhaenna asks, blasting any nearby shadow with her repulser rifle. “Idhaenna, goddess of it doesn’t matter because I’m not from here.” She says, offering a handshake with her free hand.

 

Tiril nervously shakes Idhaenna's hand, clearly still scared.

"Y-You're a goddess?" Tiril asks.

 

“Correct. I had exactly 24 hours off, so I decided to take a look around the realms. My first time to most places I visited, really. The Realm of Light is far more pleasant than this, but it is a touch showy.” Idhaenna explains. “I’m something of a mix between Mortius, Caelia, and Gaia. Air, spirits, and stars are my thing.”

 

"Did...did you come find me deliberately?" Tiril asks.

 

“No, I was just walking in a straight line away from the capital and your soul stuck out like a sore thumb. That, and this is the most dense forest out here for... a while, really. I didn’t intend to bother with you until you seemed legitimately lost.” Idhaenna says, blunt.
“...No offense to you, I’m on a strict schedule. I just didn’t expect to see any other solos out here.”

 

"I-I just hid in here since forests feel safe. I guess the forests here are different to the ones on earth, though..." Tiril says, "I-If you're going to the head kingdom, can you take me with you?"

 

“I’m not, but now that you aren’t a wreck I’ll turn around and escort you there if you don’t mind telling me a bit more about yourself on the way.” Idhaenna offers.

 

"C-Certainly, Lady, um..." Tiril trails off.

 

“Just call me Iana.” Idhaenna shrugs. “Let me know when we’re done sitting on trees.”

 

"I-I'm happy to follow you, Lady Iana." Tiril says.

 

“I take it you came from some other city out here? I’ve only been to the capital, but apparently there are other places out here according to Aj.” Idhaenna asks, dropping to the ground.

 

Tiril nods.

"I wanted to visit the head kingdom since I got here, but the Shadow I met could only take me to his home kingdom. They seemed rather...traditional." Tiril says.

 

“What I tell you is gonna seem more than a bit outlandish, but you’re either gonna hear it from me or someone else at the capital. Clear?” She asks, starting to walk back towards the capital.

 

"Huh?" Tiril asks, curious.

 

“She might.”

“Xlentia!”
I yell out.
“What’s going on here?!”

 

"She trusted the wrong mortal." One of the guards says. "We're trying to keep her from going to Earth and razing whatever she gets her claws on."

"There's a portal to another reality in the capital. That's where I'm from. People go back and forth, but lately there's been a bit of tension between the gods here and the other gods from my home."

 

"So...the rumors really are true..." Tiril mutters to himself, "O-Our realities aren't going to war, are they?"

 

"Any way I could get in there?"

 

“Nah, it’ll be fine. Things have been better between us, but they’re not exactly bad.” Idhaenna shrugs.

“No, we can’t let anyone in lest we let her out. In this state... no.”

 

"W-Well, I hope things get better." Tiril says positively, staying close to Idhaenna.
