Buffs And Nerfs Who Got The Worst

Thing is, it also turns mana regen into a lottery since roughly half the time you won’t be able to get mana back due to being in vanish, AND you’ll constantly need to adjust your position due to the vanish hops, AND it still does 5% less damage than the combo does currently. It’s just not conducive to good spell damage. And it still does less damage per spell than just spamming spin attack. It’s just not a very good change; it doesn’t encourage spell comboing, it doesn’t really reward using vanish for anything other than a defensive spell, and it completely messes up traversing terrain using it, as well as parkour. Oh god, parkour in vanish is gonna suck now.

Exactly my point with regard to Vanish. I don't think it's worth using.

That method of Bash-Upper is definitely something I intend to test.

Actually, reading the update, the Warrior can cancel the jump by crouching. So I think the combo is still in.

According to the changelog, you can crouch to jump with.

 

Actually, reading the update, the Earthquake ability from Bash has been nerfed to where it doesn't "break legs" aka prevents the mobs from jumping. Uppercanceling only works because that ability activates right when the mob is launched, immediately knocking it to the ground again. So no, uppercanceling is very likely not possible anymore.

 

Ah, right, that is indeed a problem.

Besides the DPS, I'm pretty happy with the charge buff.

 

Uppercanceling still works.

 

My opinion is that archer is either still the best class, or just right below mage. Archer is still an amazing class, you just can't do the stupid 100k arrow storm attack anymore. On top of that, melee archer may now be viable (need to test it out first), and arrow shield gets charges. Overall, I think this is a very good update for Archer, especially with hunted mode coming up soon.

 

The issues with that is the speed penalty.
Imagine trying to strafe a boss while tapping shift.

 

I'm no Warrior main, so I can't relate there at all sadly. I think the only time when you can shift and the speed penalty is meh, is when you're a pure WS build with an Archer giving you their lovely speed XD

Also, Hunted is going to suck for Assassin's just for the fact that they can't get away from the other classes now. Shaman might be easy pickings based on their Defense level, but hey, who knows?

 

Go to death, and tap shift while strafing back and forth.

 

Tbh just make it so vanish casting doesn't have that 10 septillion decibel sound so assassin can actually, well, be sneaky around other players a bit better...

 

Yeah. Also the particle effects. That gives them away hard.

 

The best way to fix this would probably have it as an option, like you have to shift if you want to stay on the ground.

 

They did do that, but it’s still gonna be unwieldy

They already did that, main issue now is strafing will be nearly undoable. Try strafing around a boss while taping shift every time you cast uppercut.

Personally I think the best way to fix it is to just swap. You stay on the ground normally, and pressing shift will lunch you in the air. After all, there's no negative to pressing shift in the air.
