If we're not careful the Grooks and the Rats will fuse into one species, it is for this reason we must not let the Rats get near where Grooks spawn, and Grooks get near where the Rats spawn.

 

I have a strong belief rats will aid us in fighting off the Grook invasion.
Think about it; rats are usually hostile, where grooks are purely passive, and need zombification to even become aggressive. Rats wouldn't fall to the corruption, unlike the weaker grooks; so they're able to fight off corruption, and to an extent, also grooks themselves. When comparing in power, grooks require technological advances to be able to even become dangerous, where rats are already scary as is and have been starting to grow exponentially. Having the strength of multiple Giant or even Colossal Rats on our side will help tremendously.

The main problem we face right now, however, is getting the rats on our side to begin with. The grooks are shrewd and manipulative and probably already recruiting forces as we speak, but we can assume that the rats, aggressive in nature as they are, are very low on their list of potential allies. The rats are quite aggressive to us as well, though: it would be likely they'd either be a neutral bystander, or enter a three-way battle that they're doomed to lose against the players and future Grooks. I do have good news: there is a way to get the rats on with us. For only $3.99, we can bribe a single rat to fight for our cause. I suggest we stockpile as much money as we can, and whenever a possible sale happens, we mass-bribe rats to join us fight off the Grooks.

We know what future the grooks could create when we ignore their inventions, their resourcefulness and their lust for power, and we must halt it, one way or another. The rats will be the key to victory.

Oh, and good one on remembering there are rats in Rymek, I completely forgot myself up until rediscovering them a few days back.

 

This is a very good plan, but imagine if it backfires, the consequences could be catastrophic. I propose we give them cheese, and promise them more cheese when the Grook war is over, but in the end we turn on the Rats, and kill them after they helped us defeat the Grooks, before they can turn on us.

I question your plan here. Either one of two things will happen:
1.) The penguins join the rats (unlikely)
2.) The rats summon the Colossal Rat, and eat the penguins (highly likely)

 

A Rat yes!

 

1) The rats eat our eggs. Impossible. We would peck them to death for all the possible penguin warriors they prematurely killed.

2) The rats are only capable of preying on the Little Penguin, the smallest, most defenseless species of Penguin. We would club the colossal rat to death with our flippers before any one of us fell.
