Erevan pens a letter in flowing elvish script.

My dearest sister,

I hope this letter finds you well, if it ever finds you. I may not ever find the chance to send it, out here in the deadlands. I don't know quite why I'm writing this. Some things just need to be said, I suppose.

I'm sorry for the things I said and did when we parted. I've seen many times over now how right you were. I was too hasty in rushing off for revenge (and too stubbornly self-righteous to admit that's what it was) and thought of no one but myself. There's a certain irony in that, I suppose.

Do you remember that our mother used to call me anarelee* when we were young? She liked to say it was like a drop of sunlight had fallen and gotten caught in my eye... small wonder, then, that I ended up as I did. I only remembered that tonight. Truthfully, I've thought little of mother and father for a long time. Avoiding the memory, I suppose. Funny that, to swear vengeance for what happened to them and then scarcely think of it the whole journey...

I find myself thinking of our parents a lot these days. My journey has been a grim one. The fire of vengeance in me that burned you when we last spoke as been stamped out by force. All that's left is the hope that I can spare any more people from suffering this madness. I just want the madness to stop. I just want to be home with you and mother and father. I want to seize Time by the throat and burn him until he relents and erases this horror.

I haven't seen the sun in days now. There's not much sunlight to be had here, except perhaps in this cursed eye of mine. When I looked in a mirror tonight, I remembered that damn nickname and I wept.

I'm so sorry. For everything. I miss you, Ay'.

Erevan hesitates for a moment and nearly crumples the letter, but then shakes his head, takes it, and seals it in an envelope, which he puts in his bag. He exhales heavily, then sits down to sleep.

 

"Not sure, you could ask her tomorrow."

Heat stays positioned at the table in front of Ti’Lin until he shuts down, staying there even when the others decide to leave.

I go to sleep and wake up early, as usual.

I'll head over to Heat's room and knock on the door.
"Heat! You awake?"

 

You're not gonna get any answers

"Anybody wanna check the available stores ?"

 

Alth comes down in time to hear this

Alth:"Sure... I could pick up some supplies or books..."

 

Whoops.

I realize Heat was sitting at the table downstairs and head down.
I knock a few times on his metal outer shell.
"Heat. Wake up."

I get out of bed.

"Well, day one, I suppose. Let's get this over with."

I'll head downstairs and try to find Ti'Lin.
