Media Dern 1.19 Appreciation, Opinions & Theories Thread

The 1.19 trailer just dropped and my god I am beyond hyped in my opinion,

here is my take on it all:

I really love everything I've seen so far, the ingredient pouch is a great addon for extreme gatherers like me,

I am greatly interested in the new major IDs and ofcourse the new class (which looks amazing so far!)

The fabled items are an interesting addition but I really hope it doesn't turn the market upside down, the main thing I fear about this is that the gap between gathering and lootrunning will become even larger.
The fact that lootrunning is already so much better than gathering for earning money is already a major problem, and this might only make it worse.

My main hope for this update was the addition for dernic materials though, but because the level cap seems to be raised to 106 instead of what (almost) everyone expected to be 114,
I fear that those gathering spots won't be added in 1.19 yet, which is dissapointing to me.
The 2 new dungeons give me hope for tier 12 tools which are greatly needed, but it looks like tier 13 tools (which would be useful for people like me) won´t be added in this update.

Further I was really hoping for more gavel dungeons, the stone giant near kandon beda as an example, so it is dissapointing in my eyes that something like that didn't get added, but all in all I am satisfied with the corrupted undergrowth ruins and the new road to dern dungeon 1.19 will add.

Tl;Dr
Extremely hyped for the update, I am slightly dissapointed in a few ways (mostly gathering related) but I definitely think this update is going to be awesome.

Those additions things seem quite useful

However taking 50% of the damage nearby players takr could be annoying if you are not a tank. Also "madness" casting a random spell lmao

 

Hype for fabled items, level cap increase, new area, new class, class rebalancing, so much fucking stuff holy crap

 

It's been 6 long years since I've first heard of Dern, and waited for it.

And it's so close. Holy shit. After so much time.

9 year old me would be hysterical right now.

 

I have no idea what haul cost even is but I sure am hyped as hell for it.
(my guess would be that it reduces the weight of materials by one.)
