SPOILER 1.19 Class Changes

    Recently, Salted decided to give some vague insight on changes being made to classes on Wynn's discord:

    So, to clean up:

    Warrior - Is getting buffed in 1.19, likely as a result of formerly being one of the most disliked classes.

    Archer - Is getting nerfed in 1.19, and its arrow shield will be changed, presumably to something similar to what Novalescent has created on general suggestions.

    Assassin - Is getting both, buffs and nerfs in 1.19.

    Mage - Is getting a slight, seemingly invisible buff in 1.19.



    Now that the trailer is out, and the shaman class has been both, announced and demonstrated, it wouldn't be a surprise if other classes got visual updates to modernize their spells as well. Read more at https://wynncraft.com/1.19

    in 1.19, warriors got buffed, archers got nerfed (and arrow shield changed), assassin got both buffed and nerfed, and mage got.... very slightly buffed technically, but you won't feel the change much

    You'll feel the archer one, notice the warrior one but mage and assassin are more subtle. Experienced players will for sure notice, though.

    I’m gonna take a stab (hah) at assassin:
    Spin attack is getting a reduction in damage, but either multihit or smoke bomb are getting damage raises to compensate, to fit better into the comboing of spells

    I posted that because the trailer itself doesn't mention it. We'll talk more in details about everything that changed in the changelog, whenever it comes out.

    I mean it depends. If smoke bomb gets buffed to compensate I don’t think it would matter too much for any build that isn’t full-on spell spam; the net damage would probably be about equal.

    Although if it’s like a 25% damage nerf it doesn’t matter what you do, that’s gonna feel like a bat to the knees

    the problem with assassin is the stun lock not the damage, honestly i feel like the class would be fine if spinlock was removed and everything stayed as is or maybe a minor damage/vanish buff

    I disagree; without the stun, smoke bomb would be incredibly hard to use for anything but the trashiest of trash adds and multihit would be too risky to pull off on most enemies, especially bosses. If the damage was lowered or the spell cost was raised it’d still be usable for spell comboing but a lot less effective by itself
