Me? Excited For Wynncraft? Its More Likely Than You Think.

You see gamers, we've gotten shit update after shit update.
We got a new 1200 hour update (as said in discord) that's just 1120 hours of grinding several skills for gear when just farming mythics seems better.
We got corkus which A: does not fit in the world, robots and machinery and electricity really does mesh well with castles and magic, and you cant just be like "oh its ELECTRO MAGIC, y'know the magic that even the humans of wynn who are practically gods of that kinda shit and fruma which is where humans BUILT A KINGDOM ENGRAINED WITH MAGIC never found out about. Yea they just never fucking knew to make electricity with magic. Fucking electromagic makes 0 sense in the world since there's no way this one group of people would figure it out and NOBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD. Like yea i get it, the old world wasn't as connected and nobody knew everything. But corkus and fruma aren't even half a sea away, and humans mastered the ocean. I feel like we'd figure out about fucking electro-magic especially since it's so useful to us and it would help against the battle of corruption. And B: The quests were boring and as basic as they can be. I mean the introduction quest was basically a fucking dungeon intro quest.
We've gotten a quest update that feels a tad bit uhhhhhhhhhh shit. Seriously the only good quests in the updates that add like 5-10 quests was 10000 meters down. Everybody loves dwarves and disappointments (thank you to the guy who came up with that on another post of mine) but that quest was just gimmick quest except unlike 10k meters the gimmicks are done poorly and the story is just GOD AWFUL. The ending made me feel "hey, feel ____ since we told you to" instead of "hey this is gonna make you feel ___". The demon dude was hyped up the entire game but turns out it was just Inside Jabu Jabu with another copy paste "boss" (aka enemy with big hp bar).
We've gotten the exploration system, which removes all mystery the hidden places hold. The cave in gavel with the gargoyles and shit. What was it? An ancient stronghold? Ritual site? this is just an example of the mystery places are given by being nameless. Now you walk into aforementioned cave and get the message "Gargoyle cave +696969 xp" and now you're just like
"ah yes, a cave of gargoyles, of course."
These places can still be named and make great mystery, but removing the persons ability to imagine what these places are by naming them what they are makes exploration an xp game instead of exploration.

This however was built up for years. I think its been built up since the start of wynncraft, at least during its mob update. The build team came through again and gave us dern demonstration which shows how great they are at what they do. The RTD looks super fun to explore. My only fear is the quests.
The shit quests have been far too frequent. Its like the quest team making them thinks they don't need to try, players will still like it (and they're right, no matter what happens content team good). But i feel for this since its been hyped up since i was in god damn middle school they're actually going to try. The shit quests we just filler trying to keep players interested there's no doubt about that. And here they have a chance to win back their title as good at making quests.
My fear though, comes from the fact they've been making shitty quest updates since gavel. I don't know if they have a B team whos been doing that while the A team works on the update, but what i do know is that the quests have sucked and everybody supports them since content team good. Since they've been supported in making shitty quests they could think that no quest has to be good anymore, since content team good no matter what

All in all im excited. Hopefully exploration isn't too fucked by the exploration update, and i'll be able to walk 10 feet without seeing "curse root tree lvl 100" everywhere, and there won't be economy update quests shoved up my ass, and the quests won't suck. But for once i have hope.

You have to understand that you have been given this server for free by people who work for free and the owners of which are supported only by donations and not subscriptions or whatever. yes, this is to be expected from a minecraft server but that also means that the things that the ct implement are not always good in every way. You're acting like ct is making wynncraft some sort of cheap cash grab even though it's free to play. Of course there's going to be things that are wrong with the game. Of course quests are not as good as official games. Of course updates get infrequent as time goes on. Doesn't mean you have to constantly whine about it. What you can do instead is maybe give some constructive criticism on what could be done to improve short/long term. And even then, if you think Wynncraft has really gone that far downhill, you can be more polite about it. Start a healthy discussion and usually you'll discover that the Wynn you were thinking of is only nostalgia or that there was a reason behind certain changes that you previously did not know about.

If you don't like something, go elsewhere. Don't stay around things that get you angry when you have the choice to go do other things as you please. It will not change just because you don't think it fits. The content team make stuff based on how they see it fits the world. They are making their dream. If you want to change it then do something about it, don't just complain, because that just makes you part of "the problem".

But the purpose, origin and further history of such places remain a mystery. Also there are so many places that aren't discoveries. To name a few: the Jumble tower/cave, Wolf Tamer cave (Nesaak forest), nearly every ruin in the Dernel Jungle, the Lonely Spider cave, Kraken Island (I think), One Tree Island, etc.

Discoveries give a very small amount of xp, it's not that significant

I'm guessing the road to dern was previously normal, looking somewhat like wynn. Dern being a realm and not a province, slowly corrupted it into something that looks almost the same.
I.e. RtD is the landmass, and actually province, dern itself is a realm, opposite of that to Realm of Light.

After the trailer, I would like a pat on the back if I'm right.
