Erevan spends a long while sitting at the bar, just looking down at his hands in silence.

After a while, he addresses the bartender. "Have any tea?"

 

Chaney nods. "Green or Jasmine?"

"Yeah, it sucks. My throat hurts like hell."

 

And there you lay. Out of breath from screaming, crying in the rain as you sit amongst the ruined pieces of your life, which you shattered all in a moment

 

I take a seat at the bar.

I mentally 'laugh', then 'sigh'.

"I don't know. You're an unrepentant killer, and a servant of nearly the opposite divine philosophy to mine. By all rights, I should hate you."

"But right now, you're putting your skills towards a mission that I consider more important than anything else. You heard everything I said in the courtroom earlier, so I'm sure I don't need to repeat myself, but most other moral qualms come second to stopping the plague right now."

"But that doesn't answer why I don't dislike you. I don't really understand it either. But... you don't feel malevolent. Lacking in empathy? Definitely. A danger to society? Probably. But it's hard to see you as a monster."

You, from your experience here, you know there are none. The cobbler, Maddie Edwin, may be of help. She dabbles in tinkering. The miller Dando Smith and the jeweler Bruce Roberts may have small forges as well.

 

I pay for the tea and take a sip.

"... what a day."

 

Chaney nods. "You seem like good enough folk. You seem like you did do what you are accused of, but you have justification for it all. Wildwood is older than he looks, he may be stuck in his ways."

 

Ti'Lin: "Heat, tomorrow we're heading out to Maddie. She's a cobbler and might be able to help bend your plates back into shape."

He gets up if Ti’Lin has finished patching him, sitting down at the bar as best he can, laying his head in cold hands.
