"There's not much to do. A market and the inn I guess."

 

"Well since we stay here for 5 days, you can have the long version."

He looks at the wall.

"You probably already know I was an orphan, right ? If not then you know it now.

An old man named Alfred took me under his 'roof'. We can't really call that a roof since it was just some pile of boxes, I grew up in a homeless community, of course everybody avoided me, who want to befriend a devil.

I was 8 years old when he passed away. Did he die of a disease ? No. Was he old ? Not really. The community had a special day during which they would offer gifts to their family to comfort themselves of their poverty, Alfred had a gift for me too, and the King had a gift for the community too, a bunch of soldiers came and attacked everybody to chase us out of the city. We weren't valuable for the king and were giving a bad image of the country. Alfred was too old to run and hid me under our a pile of boxes, he asked me to be better than them and fought the soldiers to let the hobos flee.

I stayed alone, crying, under a pile of boxes with a trembling box, it has the Alfred you'll know today in it, my mouse. I named if after my father to never forget him."

He pets Alfred as he say the end of that monolog, then his face start to show anger.

"I still didn't give any justification ...

I had to live for 4 years on my own and feed myself and my mouse. I was 12 years old and I had to stole from people and shop to survive. I tried to be better like Alfred said, helping the hobos, but I can't be happy to help if people try avoid me.

One day a cook saw me trying to steal some sausage, and pursued me, I ended up in a dead end with a cook trying to kill me, but an unknow being send the cook flying into the wall and saved me. That being needed a host to sustain in our world and I was full of anger and in need of revenge, I never forgot what happened on that night. I made a pact with it and became what I am today.

Not everybody was born with powers.

I trained my powers during five years, when I was ready, I took departure to the castle and used all the powers I had available to infiltrate the castle without hurting anybody. When I finally saw the king, I said 'It’s time for me to avenge the peoples you killed on that night nine years ago.' and rushed to him, I was blinded by anger and he stabbed me near the heart, but a voice inside me wanted to avenge my community, and mostly my father. I stood up, unleashed the fire inside me, and killed the king by fire. Then, I successfully escaped the castle and the city, wandering in search of safety and a family."

He turns back.

"That's probably not what Alfred wanted, and you are probably not going to approve what I did, but I couldn't live with that anger all my life and I had to do something for that hobo community that was harassed everyday.

During my wandering I found 3 person, including Kyelas and Yevor, speaking about a quest a God gave them.

I'm gonna share the thought I had in mind when I saw them.

'We don’t share the same past and the same story, but our future story will be full of incredible discovery, I’m sure of it, they will probably avoid me, dislike me, but I will not give up until I can meet this God .... I will fight the anger of the world for all my life ...'

He then looks at you.

"I don't regret what I did to that King and I will not look behind me, I won't let anyone step onto me. You can try to change me if you want, but I lived with anger all my life, it's too late for me to changed, but that doesn't mean this anger will be used to do wrongs. I wouldn't be travelling with this group if it was to be a bad guy."

Oh and before telling his story, he turns back to normal Alas, wouldn't be credible if he kept his clown appearance.

It's a painting of you. You were younger then. A crack in the painting goes right across your face. The feathers of the painting, once white, have turned black from soot.

 

Alth drops it aimlessly and stumbles forward and keeps searching for anything intact

 

What wasn't destroyed in the explosion has been destroyed from being exposed to the elements for so long.
