China violates pretty much every single human right on some level. Organ harvesting, censorship, unfair trials, violence on protestors, and the list goes on.
And yet nobody does anything because it's profitable to not do so.
This is just an extension of that. Do something they don't like and you are band from China and the huge consumerbase there. So in order to profit the most, they bend to the Chinese.
Capitalism: It's not the best solution that takes the cake, it's the one that makes it bigger by throwing it away and choosing the bigger one that has a kidney on top.

Blizzard’s player base is 14% Chinese and 55% American/european if I recall correctly, meaning they pissed off 55% of their consumers for 14% of their consumers.

 

China is a communist country.

 

You can still sell stuff there. It’s a huge market, espicially for mobile games.

 

Yeah its kinda weird. They are run buy a communist country but are pretty bad with workers rights and stuff what communism is supposed to be all about right?

 

Unfortunately communism is more often than not just an excuse for the leaders of the country to control the lives of the rest of their people rather than a way to make things truly equal

 

There's a good quote from a political science professor in University of Toronto:
“China is a capitalist country with a socialist facade. Adam Smith wearing Karl Marx’s suit.”
