"That makes me feel much better."

 

“I would love little more than to remain here, but I am curious to see the rest of your reality. Besides, I do have to go back soon. What mother would I be abandoning my children? At that... what kind of mother am I being here instead of at their side?...” She sighs.

She might not be okay, then. It’s raining... really hard.

“They’re only after me. Stealing insanely valuable prototypes makes people really freaking mad.”

 

"I understand." Gaia nods, putting a hand to her head and focusing.

A minute later, a bright portal Gaia's size opens in front of her, light pouring through. Gaia gestures for her counterpart to go through first.

 

Gaia glances at her counterpart.
“Now? Are you sure?”

 

"Just hope for the best and hope she found a shelter."

 

"Well, I don't want to use up all your time here." Gaia says happily.

 

"As a prototype myself, I can only imagine."

 

Gaia looks conflicted, almost hurt by her counterpart's words.
"I... suppose now is fine."

"If you were part of that demon thing's entourage, doesn't that make you the prototype left in a lab full of dead people?"

I guess... the storm just kinda moved in fast. I don't know how long I was out though, but it still seemed unnatural. Maybe you were right about the ziz being angry?

 

Gaia smiles, waiting for her counterpart to go through to be polite.

 

Gaia heads through slowly, trying to take care not to step on anything or anyone.

The light drastically accelerates the plant growth on her body, though there’s one claw-marked patch of stone where nothing grows.

 

Gaia follows her counterpart through, the pair immediately gaining attention from the comparatively small kingdom in front of them as Lux appears. Having stepped out from the ocean, Gaia changes back to her forest guardian form, which seems to flourish a little more too.

"Lady Gaia, a pleasure to see you." Lux says with a smile, bowing slightly to Gaia's rockier counterpart.

 

"I am not certain what she is capable of. She can create winds, right? Not sure about storms."

 

"Correct. Good work."

 

Even if she can’t make storms, she can push them around with winds. At least, I’m pretty sure storms come from clouds...

“I’m not a total moron. Just mostly one.” Scurn mumbles. “That, and nobody likes the shadow demon thing. You’d probably be welcomed in a ton of places, unlike him.”

Lady Gaia kneels a bit, performing some sort of quadruped bow.
“I’m the one who should be bowing, my fate would be the same as that of my home should you not have permitted me resting in this reality.” She says humbly. “On the note of recovery, though, you look well.”

 

"I hope I'll be able to restore my reputation in your reality during your time here. I acted out of rage when I attacked one of your gods, it was a poor reflection of me." Lux explains. trying to sound polite.

"Lux, you don't have to be all posh and polite. She's just me from the other reality!" Gaia says happily, seeming to be proud of her counterpart just for existing.

 

“I wouldn’t worry about that. You wouldn’t be the first god to lash out at Xlentia, and you certainly won’t be the last. She is still a bit shaken over Tenebrae’s participation, though.” Gaia laughs. “Regardless, Xlentia is used to people going after her for revenge. It’ll be fine.”

 

"I certainly hope so." Lux says with a smile, glancing down at the crowds of people coming out of the kingdom to bow down to their god. Many forest guardians seem rather shocked to see Gaia with Lux, even more so when she gives them a wave and a smile.

"Are you capable of changing the size of your form? It'll make it easier for me to show you my realm." Lux asks.

 

“Size, no. But...”
Gaia glows with a relatively dim green light as a human-sized faerie hovers where her heart was.
“I hope this is enough, I don’t have any other forms.” She says.

 

"That's perfect." Lux says, appearing around the same size - if a little larger than a normal human - shortly after. Gaia follows suit, changing to a form the size of Lux's too.

"I suppose we should start with my head kingdom." Lux says, large gates to the kingdom in front of the trio proudly held open by a pair of guards. Hundreds of civilians bow on either side of the entrance, forming an open path for the gods.

 

Gaia hovers behind Lux and beside her counterpart, looking around quietly as she does her best to simply take in as many sights as she can.
