Guide How To Install The Wynncraft Official Texture Pack

(As a preface, this guide is meant for the 1.12 version of minecraft, although nothing should be different if you use a different version.)

So, have you ever been planning on getting on Wynncraft, and it's all going well, until you login onto a game server, and then it takes a solid 30 seconds to download the server resource pack because your internet is basically mechanized smoke signals, and you're playing on your granny's laggy-ass computer which cost her like 100 dollars, and in that half-minute a swarm of giant rats have decided that your face would look far better about thirty feet away from your body? Because I sure have.

Well, I can't solve your internet or your computer, but if the downtime of downloading of the resource pack is what causes you to lose your level 14 HIC character, then I have the solution for you!

Here's how to download the Wynncraft Resource Pack so you can use it without having to wait for the pack to load!

Spoiler: Step 1

Step 1: Open Your Server Resource Pack Folder.

(Click the "Open Resource Pack Folder" button and go up one folder to get to .minecraft)

(This also won't work if you have never downloaded the server resource pack, so do that at least once by just logging into Wynncraft - See Salted's Pinned Forum post if you have problems with that. Step 2: Select the Server Resource Pack File.

Edit: The updated 1.19 Update Pack is the one called (04e79f2973966ddc6bb9a09105cb68198c5733d8)

Step 3: Copy That File Into The Resource Pack Folder (The one where you usually put your resource packs.)

Step 4: Rename That File You Copied to "Wynncraft 1_12_2.zip" (You can change the blue text to whatever you want, but the .zip is very important)

Step 5: Close the Folder And Return To Minecraft.

Step 6: Disable Server Resource Packs for Wynncraft (So it doesn't try and send you the pack again, despite you already having it)

And you're done! Just load in this pack whenever you're planning on playing Wynncraft, and it'll prevent you from having to wait for the pack to load in every time you join.
This also works for other servers, for example, if you always crash when trying to play Hypixel Warlords, you can use this method to get the pack.

But removing the pack everytime you play something else or restarting the launcher is twice as miserable :v

 

Yeah, if you were to join from Wynncraft to another server or survival multiple times it will get annoying. But if you want to focus on playing Wynncraft multiple times, having the resource pack already on is pretty convenient without a doubt.

btw, if anyone wants to make two launchers with the same versions (but with different mods, resourcepacks etc) here's a way to do it:

Spoiler: Click "BROWSE"

Spoiler: Click "Make New Folder"

Spoiler: Name the folder and make sure to click somewhere or press enter

Spoiler: Click "Ok" then "Create"

Spoiler: Make sure to join the game with the launcher you created

Spoiler: Click the folder you made

Spoiler: Then click the resource pack folder, and put the resource pack in the folder

 

As of the Silent Expanse, the name of the pack in server resource packs is 04e79f2973966ddc6bb9a09105cb68198c5733d8

 

I have tried this and it did not work. I got a new computer so I thought that that was the problem but I am still not sure. I have been using Optifine 1.12.2 for playing on the server on my other computer. It worked fine and made the performance better. When I tried to join a world it would take a long time to join the world and then it disconnected me. I tried on Optifine 1.14.4 and that didn't work. I can't figure out what is causing this. Does anyone know of anything that I can try?

 

I don´t find the folder

 

I mean damn, if your internet is really that slow, can you even reliably play the game? Latency is horrible for real-time combat :/
