A Few Questions For A Beginner Player

I currently play WynnCraft in Optifine 1.14.4 and use the custom resource pack as always,
but will over time get these massive lagspikes that freeze my game, I'm not sure why that is
I'll be playing listening to the music, then i'll heard a munch of notes at once, and take lag, sometimes to my disadvantage while fighting wilderness creatures near towns to Combat level.

I seen the most stable is 1.12.2 but does that mean the items and other gear that are in 1.13 and above won't display for me? and/or display correctly i.e Kelp is now Grass, and Turtle Eggs become cakes)


If I do try in 1.12.2 I use a called 5zig, It has a HUD interface that shows various client-side statistics similar to F3 showing FPS Coords Light-Level Biome, and Ping to the Server, Showing what active potion effects and Armor as well as having a 2nd chat option if something is spammed often, such as going up a level in a profession or combat can be moved over to clean out main chat, it comes with a hook into TeamSpeak to overlay however noone really uses TS anymore. There's a similar mod to it called LabyMod,

Is it Safe to use 5zig (It also can Hook into Optifine as well)

 

Just use plain old 1.12.2 (optifine helps). You won't need any 5zig or anything, though I do recommend using wynntils (wynntils.com has a link to their Jenkins) as it helps with a lot of things in-game.

Everything in Wynn is optimized mainly for 1.12.2 so changing over to this version wont change anything if you were using higher versions, maybe other than the lack of swimming, though that's something that you can learn to miss in the future, Good luck and have fun playing!

 

Are there any uses for swimming? Before I switched to 1.12.2 I experienced a TON of glitchiness while trying to swim through 1-high areas

 

The only use for swimming I know is going fast. otherwise there are no benefits whatsoever.

Yeah, when i was on 1.14.4 I had alot of issues where the water didn't like me swimming and jerk me back or rubber-band me
I think it was from swimming with 1.13 animations when its 1.12. (When doing the Omanjo Treasure quest near Coastal Trail and Maltic)

 

Yeah, that's where I first experienced it.

 

Don't skip dialogue cuz lore is important and all that good stuf aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa


pls lore is gud and you need to understand it or @ThePurpleEmerald will go super sayian mode on you

 

I skip the lore and read it all on the wiki. Saves time when doing quests and is better because I can connect pieces to one another quickly.
