"I'm more interested in getting where I need to be."
    Glance around.
    "How do I leave?"

Lifting his book to read, Fraise flipped through the index, looking for the first tale. Opening on page twelve, the Aatsuran read the title.

"Invjörn's Journey, Tale of Ikar, Hyara. Tale 66."

Before he could start his immersion on the book, Saraha gestured for the man to move. "I'd wait until we begin the journey. It's a short ride to the embassy, the driver told me." Marking the page with his finger, Fraise nodded.

After a couple of minutes, the carriage stopped in front of a building. Looking outside, Deton nodded his head. "We have arrived." Jumping out of the carriage, Saraha turned to the two. "Wait here, I'll be back soon."

Helping the two into the carriage, Sate gave Darx a paper bag. Opening it, the boy saw apples and bread. With a nod from the two, the silver-haired boy understood that the bread was for the trip.

"Once you arrive, you will stay at the house of a friend of mine. Remember to tell him to write a letter telling me of your arrival." The innkeeper says, glancing at the two as he spoke.

Walking away from them and towards the woman that led the carriage, the bartender and her exchanged a few words before he went inside and closed the door.

With the sound of the cracking of a whip, the group began moving.

(Regarding the arm, as of this moment Vitiate is human, and possesses all the physical boundaries that come with it. That, added to the fact machinery was never mentioned on the application and hardly exists in that level of intricacy on the world right now is also why I'm not taking it into account.)

The man keeps walking, going down the hill in a childish fashion, with his arms open and hopping from one foot to another.
"I can take you to where you need to go afterwards." He lets out a laugh. "Just kidding." Stopping in his tracks, the figure becomes still. "Unless?"
"Nah, just come have a chat and I'll take you to where you need to be." The man continues walking downhill.

As Saraha exited the carriage, Fraise glanced over to see Deton looking out of the window. Compared to his companion, Fraise decided to simply rest his head on the chair cushion and stare off into space. He stared up at the roof of the carriage, still somewhat wondering as to what drives the woman so much towards this embassy.

Everyone, I'm sorry for the small hiatus, but I was waiting for more responses and that added up with test week. I'm sorry.
To try to prevent this from happening again, I would like permission to make characters do small actions, just enough so the story progresses. I don't want to take the control fully away from you as a player, but neither do I want the story to stale. Please let me know in the response below.

Rocking back and forth in his seat, Darx shot glances between Vitiate and the woman who led the carriage. Humming softly, she smiled to the road ahead and seemed calm, wind moving slightly her dirty blonde hair. Breathing in and attempting to follow her example, the silver-haired boy looked out towards the scenery and tried to calm himself down.

The cold air contrasted with the warm inside of the carriage, making Darx shiver as he looked around the area. Plains and hills extended as far as the eye could see, with the hint of a treeline left behind them. Cloudy, the sky offered no hint of blue to warm the barren view. Back inside the carriage, Vitiate fidgeted idly with the bracelet on his arm. Seemingly having found a small gap, he tried to open it with a pointless knife.

Sighing at the empty streets, Deton tiredly looked towards the few lights lit in that early morning. A bar gave the streets faint music, providing an eerie tone to the seemingly ghost town. Looking up at the sky, the man stared at the dark grey tone judgingly for a few moments. Going inside the carriage again, he sat down.

"It's going to rain." The Herilian said to Fraise. Nodding with a distant look, the Aatsuran seemed deep in thoughts of his own.

After another five minutes, Sahara entered the caravan. "We were given approval." Tapping the old man in the shoulder and saying a few words in another dialect, the caravan began moving.

Walking down the hill to meet up with the man, Wren met up with his pace as they reached a low point. "So, where were you going?" The man asked. Looking closely, the boy noticed his appearance was not one of the figure at the inn.

    "So?"

    Ignore his question.
"What do you want to say?"
I don't mind, as long as you give me a day or so to respond first. :D

@Comrade I forgot to tag you, I'm so sorry.

"A small city within Opladyl. The Embassy provided badges to counteract the Mist." Extending her hand, Saraha offers a few small golden emblems. Given the runes carved onto it, they probably attach themselves to clothing or metal.

"All in its time." Upon reaching the top of the second hill, the man reaches out to the air in front of him, pulling on something invisible, in a similar way to a doorknob. As the air split to create a door-like entrance, Wren could see a living room through the 'portal', with a long table served with tea and foods, alongside comforting warmth coming from an unknown source.

"M'man." The figure says, gesturing for Wren to go inside.

"Stop trying to be mysterious and get it over with," I snap.
    Don't go through the door.

I'm completely fine with that, I've been on my own hiatus since yikes college but go for it!

Snapping back to reality, Fraise reached out and grabbed one of the emblems, clipping it to the top left corner of his tunic. He leaned back in his chair and turned to Deton as he decided to simply close the book in his lap entirely. Fraise wanted to join in on the conversation at hand.

"Now isn't that rather a bit too blunt and hypocritical for our dear guide, Deton? In a sense, we could've simply denied Saraha's request, and yet we didn't. Why did we trust her, a complete stranger to us? It's the small details like these that are the end of great figures. Nonetheless, I welcome the new and possibly exciting adventure. At least serves some purpose for my own accords."

With that, Fraise crossed his legs and leaned back into his seat. He wasn't typically sassy, but he always loved adding some spice into the discussion.

"We could have, but I'm just curious why she offered us to go with her, if she needed protection then there are probably better people to bring from the town, so now I ask why did you choose to bring us?"

The man lifts his hands and shrugs, pursing his lips in a somewhat comical face. "Meh."
With gesture the portal moved, and Wren found himself in a much warmer living room.
A woman in casual clothing's set by a fireplace. Closing the book, she turned to the cloaked boy and squinted her eyes. "And who are you, exactly?"

"The dense mist the two of you saw around the Embassy is produced from the one from Opladyl itself. It serves at camouflage." Saraha promptly explained, barely a second after Deton finished his phrase.

Shifting in his seat, the Herilian contrasted with Fraise as he leaned in to question the woman. "But what if someone decides to go inside whatever they see instead of the Embassy?" Deton asks.
Still for seconds on end, the woman stared blankly in the direction of the man. As the silver-haired man raised his hand to wave at Saraha, the woman moved again. "I suppose that, the same way the real Mist has magical properties, the one produced by the building has theirs. Beyond camouflage, it makes it so people have aversion towards it. My guess." She says.

"And that is why we have the emblems. I see." Fraise said, still relaxed in his seat.

Sorry for the slow replies everyone, my computer got Bluescreen™ and I can't fix it as of now. I'll probably have to format it, which will delete my files about the RPG world and behind-the-scenes stuff, but there's a chance it won't. Hope you understand.

Eyeing around the carriage's interior as Saraha entered another trance in search for an answer, Deton searched for anything that sparked interest. After a quick scanning of the rather small space, the Herilian found the place rather bland, with the exception being a long case that layed by the woman's side. Frowning, the man barely noticed as Saraha began moving again.

"Probably some sort of recognition magic. Perhaps it wanted to be seen, by specific people." The woman said, and the carriage returned to silence.

Putting the book on the chair she was sitting at, the woman got up and took off her glasses. "First off. Guys? No one is due to visit, as far as I know. And second." Wren did a small turn around to try and find the man from before but to no avail. The room was empty, asides from him and the lady.

"You're the one who spontaneously appeared in the living room." With an inquisitive pose, the woman crossed her arms.
