Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I shrug.
"Handcuffs? A white sheet? Some face paint? Technically, I have none of those things, but if you're trying not to be seen as an enemy, walking beside me is pretty effective."

 

“Petunia is the only one who knew it was an act, out of the four of us that came. Solid performance, though, I must say; you really pissed off Ihra.” Iris says, leaning against her axe.


“Only in the realm of shadows. Not here. Perhaps we both need to have another cup of tea?”

That question is soon answered...

“Napping already? I suppose it’s none of my business.”
The door bumps into the dresser, and the gorgon laughs.
“I... didn’t expect him to actually barricade the door.”
You then hear footsteps fading away once again.

“So, stay close means not dying. Got it... I think.” Scurn nods.

 

"She'll get over it. If pissing off Ihra was the cause of anything terrible, she'd have done it..." Shadow Stephanie thinks, "A while ago. Especially with how idiotic Aj can be sometimes."


Gaia nods, aggressively sipping her tea as the stress shows on her face.

 

"She usually just drags me out to the front lines with her if she gets too angry. She's not stupid enough to try anything that'd fuck up this reality; she still wants to be friends with everyone deep down. Which I still hold is stupid." Iris shrugs.

Tenebrae feels an empty telepathic link form.
"Hey, if you're having celebration cake for me leaving, can I come back just long enough to get a slice?" Petunia asks.


"I suppose that if any aggression was a defensive ruse, us gods are still on good terms?" Gaia asks, downing her cup noticably slower.

 

"Oh. I'm.. not sure what she thinks."

 

"If she did try, she wouldn't get far." Temporus says ominously.

"Friends are important, you never know when you might need to use them." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.


Tenebrae doesn't respond, exhausted.


Gaia nods.

"The plan was just to scare anyone affiliated to the Hive Master away, but...I guess it didn't go very well." Gaia says, sounding disappointed.

 

“She wouldn’t be the one attacking you, per se. Though yes, friends are nice.”


“Did you really use that much energy teasing me about cake?” Petunia asks, worried. “Are you okay, missus really big shadow?”


“It sort of scared Ihra away, and Petunia now wants to come back more because she thinks it was a game. So... I guess it sort of had the opposite effect?”

All you can do is wait in silence as your beast form sleeps.

"What do you mean?" Temporus asks.


Tenebrae seems to just be thinking things through, replaying the event in her mind.


Gaia sighs.

"Temporus couldn't see the possible timelines with Petunia in them, I suppose we should've assumed the worst." Gaia explains.

 

“You can’t see anything outside time when attempting to foresee outcomes. Both Petunia and I fit that bill, along with many others. The Fenira Exegesis has quite a few, as well.”


Tenebrae’s thoughts (and vision) become obstructed by Petunia hanging off of her face and looking her point-blank in the eye.
“Hello? Existence to missus really big shadow?” She asks.


“If it makes you feel any better, she still memory wipes her father to the point he doesn’t know anything exists on this side of the rift.”

 

"You do seem to have a habit of creating blind spots in my vision." Temporus says.


Tenebrae disappears, being warped behind Caelia, leaving Petunia to fall.


"So, what are the spies doing?" Gaia asks.

 

“Time cannot predict that which is beyond time.” Iris shrugs.


Petunia drops straight through the ground, not seeming to care.


“Living mostly normal lives as amnesiacs. Petunia wiped their memories the best she can too, but clearly some go under the radar because Atavul somehow got guardians to run experiments on. I’m surprised Petunia’s working that clearly against her father and not getting disciplined, but then again I don’t know much about her.”

 

Temporus narrows his eyes at Iris.

"Quite philosophical." Temporus says.


"He WHAT!?" Gaia asks, exploding into her fiery form, slamming her hands on the table as the tea becomes unbearably hot.

 

“Nothing philosophical about it. The Allmother had no hand in this reality, and the ability for a god of time to track those outside of time requires a paradox blessing from Petunia’s mother. Or a super fucked up means of coming to be. Paradoxes either way.” Iris says, walking over to pick up Ihra’s staff.


“I thought his general prayed to you asking for help with that matter? Or did he get chased off for the umpteenth time because he’s an idiot?” Gaia asks, a touch intimidated.

 

"I think you underestimate my powers a little." Temporus says, smirking.


"I would have his general EXECUTED for tampering with MY CHILDREN!" Gaia says, hair flaring into a large fire as the table is set alight from her end.

 

"Less underestimating your overall power and more overestimating how invested you are into that party." Iris says, winking back at him. "Don't let Petunia know there could be cake there." She jokes.


"Might I remind you his general is trying to free your children and defy his master? Regardless... perhaps we both need yet another cup." Gaia sighs.

 

I'll try to sleep-talk again.
"Dragon~."

 

"You'll never find a rave like it." Temporus boasts proudly, smiling.


Gaia calms down quite a lot, shifting to her water form to signify it.

"Yes. Another cup." Gaia says, refilling her teapot.

 

"And if someone draws their weapon on you, don't draw yours. It escalates things quickly."

 

"If they draw their weapon, can I steal it?" Scurn asks.
"We're both really bad at this." Levi mumbles.

"Parties aren't my thing, but I'd be lying if I said I ever crashed one as big as yours." Iris says.
"...That came out sounding like I want to crash it, didn't it?" She sighs after a pause.


Gaia glances around, seeming to relax a bit.
"I hope you can forgive me for my doubt. With all the chaos back home and my sheer unfamiliarity here, I... I don't really know how to describe it. Nothing seems to be falling into place, I guess."

You get your bestial form to let out a low growl, but it isn't anything coherent beyond that.

 

"I doubt you'd be able to." Temporus shrugs.


"Yes, I understand," Gaia says, nodding, "Please, take this moment to forget about such things."
