Tell me more about that uni life, if you don't mind me asking. I'm still struggling with normal highschool stuff, so I have no idea how it is there.

Making motion to hand the key over to Wren, the woman instead pulls it back before he can get it. With a laugh, she puts the key on the lock and turns it. As the door opens, the woman goes inside.
"Come, come in." She says, motioning with her hand.

Ahahahahahahahah ahHHHH but in all seriousness, it's really an adventure. Uhhh, I guess in a quick general sense, my classes are going well for now, my job's doing phenomenal, and there's still so much to say that I could take an entire forum page. In a nutshell, I'm doing pretty fine atm, but it definitely wasn't a cake walk lmao. It's definitely a struggle, and even though you'll make friends to struggle with too, it's still worthwhile in the end. I still miss high school, but I definitely love my college life (for the time being of course skskks). Anything specific you're interested about?

You're telling me sksksksk this week has been a heck of a roller coaster, especially today, but I mean it's all good positive vibes only!

It's a normal-sized bedroom, much like the one you'd find in a house, unlike other inns. A bed for two, neatly covered with ornate sheets, is next to the right wall. Looking at it, Wren feels his shoulders curve, and cover his mouth as he yawns. The girl, still at the door, watches the cloaked man sit down.
"If you need anything, just knock on the door." Nodding at her statement, the boy watches as the girl leaves and closes the door behind her. The key is left on the nightstand.

Taking off his cloak, Wren covers himself with the sheets and drifts off into sleep.

Would you be interested in a- nope, not happening.

    Santur, Aatsura. 00:22

Standing quietly as a display of Aatsuran power and wealth, the capital of the Great Desert slept through the cold night. The breathtaking stars painted the sky above the marble palace of the Parliament, almost outshining the pale and dim moonlight. Red stars took the form of an hourglass-like figure, which was always taken as a sign of impermanence by the human culture.

Contrasting with the silence of the sleeping city the same way that the colourful dots contrasted the white building, was the sound of heavy footsteps, followed by a few words and metal clanging. Jogging through the streets, a group of six lead by a towering man ran away from a small squadron of the army. Arrows whistled past the group, some finding their way deep into the huge man's shield. Said man stopped as the group turned around a corner, pointing towards a small gap between two buildings. His voice, although deep, expressed a tone of deep concern.

"Go, go, I'll catch up with you all later. I'll buy you some time." His hand waved the group off, and even though two left, the rest held their ground. A blonde, tanned man walked forward, hand on the hilt of his sword. Normally considered a tall soldier, Laneer dwarfed in comparison to their leader.

"We can't go without you Karaave, it's just not an option!" The soldier said, the sound of the iron stampede becoming ominously close. Placing a hand on the man's shoulder, Karaave spoke up. "Go. Inform the others about the information you got. I'll join you in three hours."

Concerned still, Laneer pursed his lips, yet nodded reluctantly. "Alright. Take care." Tapping the other men and women on their shoulders, the group left, leaving only the leader behind.

Karaave drew attention wherever he went, and that night was no different. Standing at a towering two meters and thirty, the soldier had been known for his impressive strength and resilience. Honing his Particularity of Resistance, the giant was known for fighting off rebels with no armour, bringing nothing but his massive shield alongside him, and this was no exception.

Putting down the square shield with a ground-shaking thud, the man strapped it to his arm and prepared for the battle ahead. Turning the corner, Karaave saw eight soldiers waiting for him, three of which pointed their arrows to the soldier. One of the knights opened a piece of paper with one hand, still holding his sword out in front of him. "Karaave Klauss, you are to be detained for crimes against the state and yada yada yada." The man throws the piece of paper away and puts a hand to his forehead. "Y'know, out of everyone, I thought you were one of the people who would actually like this revolution." The giant man shook his head.

"If this is for the better, this is not the way to do it." Raising up his shield, Karaave took a stance, to which the knight sighed. "Alright. Fine. I wasted too much time trying to convince you, do it your way." Pointing with a hand towards their enemy, the knights attacked.

Using his shield to block the arrows shot, the soldier extended his arm to the side and waited for the knights to attack. As the first one attempted to cut his open arm, the giant used the shield to bash the man's arm, throwing the sword far away and denting the iron gauntlets. With his free hand, he landed a punch directly on the man's stomach, who was lifted slightly in the air before falling on the ground. Another two rushed towards him, who he promptly defended with the huge shield. While one of the knights attempted to take his sword off of the wood, the other one took out a dagger, stabbing it in the soldier's forearm. Surprised, the man gave a quiet yelp, with dagger barely piercing into his arm. Using the same hand, Karaave grabbed the man's head, throwing him towards one of the archers.

Looking around, the bald man searched for the other three knights. Feeling a sharp pain in his back, Karaave turned to see the three men, swords stuck lightly on his back. Pulling the swords off, the knights backed away from the towering man, who began unstrapping his shield from his arm as he walked towards them. Putting the shield down and grabbing it again with both his hands on its sides, he lifted the object above his head. Taking a long stride, he brought the thick piece of iron and wood down on the knights, bashing them by the side and throwing all against the wall of a nearby building.

Turning towards the archers, Karaave felt a wave of fire hit him, burning his skin slightly. Grabbing the leg of the defeated knight, he threw the man towards the rangers for the second time, hitting another one. Seeing her current predicament, the last archer drops her bow, to which the bald soldier answers by pointing towards a street with his head. The woman promptly leaves.

Sighing, the soldier rested for a few moments against a wall before heading back down towards the gap between the two buildings. Going inside a hidden door, the man disappeared in the shadows.

With a heavy knocking on their respective doors, Sate woke up the two only costumers of the inn. "Come on, you must leave now. If you are to arrive today, you must leave this moment."

Getting up and rubbing his eyes, Darx looked out the window, to see a still dark sky, barely hinting at the rising sun. Yawning and stretching his arms, the silver-haired boy collected his belongings and headed downstairs, passing by a fairly occupied innkeeper. Knocking on Vitiate's door still, the bartender called for the monk to come out, only to get a simple answer from him. "Leave me be, mortal! You could not fathom the implications of sleep on my endless power."

With an angry sigh, Sate opened the door, and for a brief moment, Darx heard a protest from the monk. After a few seconds of silence, the innkeeper came down the stairs, bringing a sleepy-looking Vitiate into the main room by the collar of his ripped shirt. Sitting him down on the table, Sate splashed a glass of water on the spirit's face. Finally waking up, the man looked around. In response to the silent question, the bartender looked at the two. "I'll serve the breakfast, and after that, you leave. I have a very good friend of mine to lead you to Opladyl, so don't try to steal a horse or anything as dumb as that."

Leaving the two alone, the innkeeper went through a door and closed it behind him, leaving the pair alone for the time being.

Opening the door to their room, Saraha lit the area with a lamp. "Up, now. We will eat, and then we leave towards the embassy. If all goes according to plan, we should arrive in Opladyl today still." Closing the door behind her, the two men got up and ready for breakfast.

Heading downstairs, the pair sat down on a table where coffee, bread and thin slices of meat were served on the table. The hot brew was very appreciated in Colden, and was something of a luxury to have. Drinking their cups, the two men ate as the woman sat on the table. "What will happen is; You show me where the embassy is, we talk to the person there, and if they accept it, we leave towards Opladyl. Got it?"

Finishing a sip of his coffee, Fraise raised a finger. "And what if they don't accept the proposition, madam?" Turning to him with the same expressionless face she wore at all times, Saraha explained. "Then you will be no longer of my interest, and we will go separate ways."

Nodding, Deton added his opinion. "Seems simple enough for me."

    @Tsukina

Hearing a commotion through the layers of his sleep, Wren wakes up to the sound of shocked voices and anguished people. Putting on his cloak and ruffling his hair, the man headed downstairs. Upon reaching the area, the boy scanned the situation. A group was gathered around a table, some looking directly at it while others sat on chairs, thoughtful expressions on.

After some effort, Wren manages to get through the small crowd, taking a look at what was on the table. A newspaper with a most unusual headline lied on the wood surface.

"Government of Aatsura overthrown! Nation has been sent into a spiral since last week!"

Suddenly worried about the situation of his foster family, the cloaked boy tried to overhear a few of the conversations going on. A woman was crying over the fact that a group of rebels had been killed in the capital, Santur, one of which was a relative of hers. A group of three discussed the current politics of the situation and its implications, and another group questioned whether or not it was safe to travel to the said nation.

A lone man caught the cloaked man's attention though, as he signalled for him to come over. Tilting his head, Wren headed towards the man, who left the establishment and gestured for the boy to follow him.

Outside of the inn, the man walked on the streets of Varla for a few moments before turning to Wren. "Come, I got some stuff you might be interested in." As the bearded man said that, he lifted a hand in the air to show the spear that belonged to the cloaked boy before turning a corner, the spear tempting as it slowly disappeared behind a building.

oof, didn't check the door for locks.
    :C
Yep, that bit me hard. Do I recognize him from anywhere? And I was seen using magic anyways, so no harm using it a bit here.
Also, I need to leave, this is more reason to.
Is there any liquids near his feet?

The man is not familiar to Wren in any way, but somehow seems to have some sort of knowledge about the cloaked boy.

Looking at the man's feet, Wren sees no puddle or liquids near him.

Fraise nodded his head and cleared his throat after finishing his coffee,

"Whenever you're ready Saraha, we'll make our way to the embassy. Perhaps today will be a bit more lively. Some questions might finally be answered for once."

I look over at Darx and decide to test if any of my powers are at all available.
I wait for him to make eye contact with me, than try to start the illusion of blood spraying out of my ear.

All of Wren's items are with him.

The woman nods and gives a simple hm. As Saraha gets up to head towards the door once again, Deton takes his chance.

Saraha Yltan, age 35. Originally from Nyriat, Innkeeper (?)

Although his Particularity tells him so, the Herilian is still thoughtful in regards to the woman's profession.

As Vitiate looks towards Darx, the silver-haired boy averts his gaze, instead looking down at the wooden surface.

Sate appears through the door bringing soup and bread, alongside two cups of tea. Putting one down for each of the pair, he pulls a chair and sits beside them. "Eat. You'll need energy for the trip." As he says that, the innkeeper begins eating an apple himself.
