The woman says.

"Yes, Mr. Dulman seemed to have been murder earlier this day. From what we know, it was somewhere after breakfast."
The guard replies.

"Any chance I could see him?" The woman replies back.

"You want to see the corpse? Why, if I may ask?" The guards asks.

"Well.. I've known him for a few years. Can't I give him a proper goodbye?" The woman says.

"I see. Follow me then, ma'am."
The guard replies.

The woman nods and they both head towards the stairs.

Sorry quick recap, who got murdered and whats the relation here?

 

A man named Conner Dulman was murdered. He stayed at the inn. You went to Jonas after he and one of the waitresses found the body.

 

"You found the body of a Mr. Conner Dulman?"

 

"Well, yes and no. It was Maria that unfortunately stumbled upon it after I asked her to go look in his room. He hadn't been out all day, so while dinner was happening, I thought she could have a look... She's recovering at the moment."

 

"Did you talk to the man before this?"

 

'Ilina': "I believe they said he had recently returned from questing with some treasure."

 

"Exactly. I chat with everyone here and hear stories everywhere. Last time I talked to him would be yesterday's dinner, somewhere after that time."

 

’Ilina’: ”And he didn’t say anything about this treasure he found? No clue as to why someone would want to keep it away from him?”

 

"He said they found some jewels, some rusty weapons and some other weird metallic thing they weren't sure about."

 

"Metallic thing... strange object to get killed over, assuming his death was in relation to his discovery. Wait... you said that "they" weren't sure about... was anyone with him?"

 

’Ilina’: ”I suppose there is no possibility of the items not having been stolen?”

 

"Oh, right. He went out with a group. Him, and I believe 3 others."

 

'Ilina': "Is that so? Do you know where we could find the other members of the group?"

 

"Saw that woman that just went upstairs? She knows him. I haven't heard of the others."

 

’Ilina’: ”Is that so? We’d better speak to her then.”
