Also people can suggest whatever they want.
It's not that housing is a bad suggestion it's that those people don't know how to write suggestions

 

Can we get a second Great Forum Wipe that gets rid of all the housing threads?

 

I'm very, very much in the minority here, but I don't see the problem with housing threads.

Yes, they've been suggested many times, and I won't try to argue with the fact that a two sentence "add housing. it would be a good thing because X" isn't the highest quality post. But if someone genuinely wants housing and has a unique idea and a well-thought-out thread, they should suggest it! After all, isn't this what the general suggestions section is for?

I'm aware that people could also just use the search bar and find countless other housing threads, but many of those threads will be A: very different from one another and B: very outdated and buried under years of other threads, to the point where no one who could add housing for the game could actually see them.

People are too harsh on housing threads and I'm honestly not sure why. Is it because these suggesters are newcomers?

 

I'd say it's because it doesn't really fit.

Wynn, at its core, is about travelling and having WACKY, ZANY AND WILDtm adventures in the wilderness, and if you have a house and settle down, it makes no sense to keep adventuring. After all, there are a billon gazillon bandits around (Even though we always cull the population, there are still more) and what says they wouldn't rob your super-valuable artefacts of doom? It's safer to put them in a secure bank or keep them on you. And why would you even have a house if you are going to always be away? It's much simpler to sleep in a tent or in an inn. And in terms of in-game use, there isn't much. You could put your items on display there?

Some personal opinions of mine:
Not hard to do. Just make a bunch of plots off-map (Equal to player count)
You customize it through a menu, and there are a few options (such as material for walls, furniture, and such) that all affect a code.
When you want to go in a house, it takes the code stored in the server and uses it to generate a house for you to be in.

What does the menu do? Simple: Add numbers to that code.
(For example: Oak walls is +0, birch walls is +1000, spruce walls are +2000, etc.
Torches for lighting is +0, lanterns +100, magic lights +200, etc.
So if every other option is basic but you want birch walls with magic lights, the code would be 1200. See?)

Other forms of "housing"
Inns! While inside an inn, health regen rate is multiplied by 1000 if positive. If negative, it just turns into +1000 raw.
This makes it so that you have a place to call "home" and it fixes the problem of "my health is low from fighting, gotta AFK or buy potions"

Airships/boats! These are just to help adventuring, so they wouldn't break immersion - and you could customize your quarters. We already have these though (Seaskipper and Detlas-Cinfras airship.

Anyway, there's my two cents.

It's simply because of how many people suggest housing with no details.
But there were a few housing suggestion that have a lot of good details, they got a huge support compared to the other housing suggestions.

 

It's true that Housing can be many differents things compared to Housing.
