"Strange, she appeared to absorb the electrical burst I used on her," Cel says, "I was unsure of her resistance to electricity however."

Abigail doesn't resist, letting the healing process happen.

 

"The scepter can, yes. As for her weaknesses, treat her sort of like Katie. Not good with heat, unless you want her to become a bloodbag. Not great with electricity, since it tends to produce heat and her blood boils at just about any point near freezing. Her lost body is something out of her control, though. Xephyr didn't figure out how to keep it under control for half her lifetime, so you'll be long dead by the time Kiin gets close." Rose says, focused on Abigail as small embers dance around her.

Abigail feels like she's being used as a pincushion, but the injected warmth is soothing.

...What exactly are we watching for? More snakes?

 

"Intruders. And snakes."

 

“Less memory-based, more processing-based.”
I correct matter-of-fairly.

 

"I considered her more in-tune with the aspect of ice over water. My intention was to temporarily disable, not to harm." Cel clarifies.

Abigail lets out a long purr-like growl.

 

"I didn't say you were trying to kill her, I stated what I saw. Just because I'm an ex-battlefield medic doesn't mean I concern myself with the source of the wounds I treat."

Rose firmly taps Abigail on the snout.
"I said don't move. Start vibrating again and I'll put you all the way to sleep." She says, annoyed.

The thorn-wounds seep a bit of blood, of course not visible to the blindfolded Abigail. Rose seems a bit annoyed with how many small wounds Abigail opened.
"You giant goddamn cat..." Rose mutters, wrapping the thorn-vines in flame.

Who in their right mind would try to break in to a place with snakes, anyways?

"Humor is lost on you, isn't it?" Scurn sighs.

 

“Bad humor is lost on me.”

 

"I'm not sure they know there are snakes, actually."

 

Cel just shrugs.

Abigail stays still, not making any more sounds.

 

Levi laughs.
"Fine, fine. That aside, care to describe who I'll be looking for en route to the meeting?"

That'd make sense, but if people know that her snakes got out and killed people, they... probably know there are snakes.

"If you don't mind me asking, the hell are you anyways? You look and act like an air guardian that got locked in a reactor."

After about a minute, Abigail's opened wounds are closed and her bones are at least in alignment, though Rose seems to have deliberately paralyzed the lower half of her body.
"Okay, I'm done with you." Rose says, taking off Abigail's blindfold. "You're probably going to be stuck here for a few days until your bones heal, or you could get Artemis or Ihra to heal your dragon form at the cost of making your guardian form a cripple. Your call, miss fire-can't-heal-anyone."

 

"I don't quite possess the control a Storm Guardian might have over electricity, though being a hybrid of Fire and Water allows me to create it." Cel shrugs.

Abigail growls, and Cel seems rather annoyed.

"Postpone house rebuilding until next week..." Cel mutters to himself, as if making an entry in a journal.

 

"How that combination of elements works out doesn't quite add up for me, but I'm more concerned about miss cat-like-lump-in-a-crater attempting to voice disapproval and then needing a replacement voicebox. Or, really, doing anything other than breathing or blinking and starting to hemorrhage. Again. I'd rather not have to paralyze all movements except for vital functions." Rose grumbles, sticking a thorn against Abigail's throat before a pulse of warmth radiates through her body again.
"Look, kitten; you try to talk, you're gonna bleed. You try to move, you're gonna bleed. I'll only remind you of this one more time; if Ihra or Artemis need to heal you for whatever reason, you're going to be crippled for quite a while in your guardian form. I've gotten you to a stable state, and now it's up to you on if you want to cling to your belief that fire can only hurt. Neither of us want me babysitting you, so stay still and let your friends take care of you. No sounds for three days, no visible movement for five. In a week, you'll be in stable condition in your guardian form and I don't want to hear from any of you until then." She says, heading towards the door.
"Cel, Katie, do you need anything else from me before I get back to my other patients?"

 

“You won’t be looking for anybody. I’ll be escorting you.”

 

"I promise he's more useful in areas other than diplomacy. Or talking in general." Levi adds.
"And you're any better?"
"So I got a bit excited that I finally found something I could hack..."

 

"Yeah, he's a really useful thief. Hence why I'm escorting him."

 

"Fair. Makes me wonder how she still has those snakes. Would think people would be against her having them if they are deadly."

 

"No."
"No." The pair say simultaneously.

 

“Okay, that was more of a trick question than I wanted it to be. She can’t eat or drink, so you’ll need to have her inhale particular incenses or she’ll wind up screwing herself up.” Rose says, taking out a small bag from her dress and tossing it to Cel.
“Red dyed sticks are to be burned once in the morning and once at night, white sticks will help her fall asleep, and blue sticks whenever her breath starts to get abnormally dry. Reminder note’s in the bag, and if you need more blue sticks than what’s in there you’re probably killing her.”
Rose starts walking outside.
“Sorry about your house, Cel. Remember, if she budges before five days roll over, you’re going to either have a crater decoration for another seven days or call over Artemis.”

Maybe that’s why her shop is so far back in an alley?

“Hey, I’m not gonna steal something if somebody’s life depended on it.”
“I think he prefers the term ‘spellthie-‘ oh it still has the word thief in it doesn’t it...” Levi trails off.

 

"Who's Artemis, again?" Cel asks.

"She's our forest guardian friend!" Katie tries to clarify, smiling.

 

“You’re not talking your way out of this one.”
