Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well I meant Xlentia, alright? How am I supposed to know Ihra is some kind of goddess when there's a dragon the size of a god damn city lounging about in the other reality!?" Abigail says, annoyed, spilling a bit of hot chocolate on herself.

Katie and Cel exchange looks, Katie seeming a bit worried.

 

"She summoned an equal-strength copy of Tenebrae, what mortal does that?"
"SHUT UP!" Kiin shouts, trembling. "Shut up, both of you! Please!"
Shatter sighs.
"Apologies, Admiral. I doubt you'll forgive me, but apologies to you too, Abigail." He says, a bit quiet.

 

"Oh, you're ordering me around too now like that little play set of crew members you have?" Abigail asks, angry, "Don't act like you're so perfect and above everyone when Katie's parents didn't even want you in the first place, you rejected brat!"

Katie gasps in shock, ice tea becoming tea ice.

 

Kiin's eyes glaze over as she turns to Abigail.
"Wh... wh-what... did you just say...?" She asks in an echoing voice, tearstains frosting over her face.
"Cel, I'm sorry about your house, it's not gonna last. Get out while you can!" Shatter shouts as Kiin's flesh warps.

 

"I haven't encountered any. Not that I can recall."

 

"You're an unwanted brat." Abigail says.

"One moment," Cel says, rubbing his hands together quickly as electricity begins to build, "Katie, this will kill you if you're exposed to it, so I recommend freezing yourself in some very thick ice."

Katie does as she's told, freezing layers upon layers of hexagonal-shaped ice around herself in a large orb.

"Katie's parents never loved you, you were just a burden on their lives that caused them so much trouble, they got captured by humans!" Abigail shouts, continuing.

Cel continues generating electricity around himself, the room seeming to hum and a taste of a thunderstorm in the air.

 

Kiin steps into the doorway as she warps into a fearsome ice drake, her eyes burning with despair.
"You... really fucked up." Scatter sighs, barricading the doorway.
Frozen teardrops drip onto the floor, Kiin trembling as her scepter merges with one of her horns.
"I-I am nothing... I-I am u-unwanted..." Kiin's warped voice sobs. "I-I got them hurt..."

"So you don't really know what snakes do, you just know that mine killed someone?"

 

Before Abigail can respond, Cel lets out a gigantic explosion of electricity, tazing everyone caught in it. Abigail shakes and falls over, drooling, while Kiin is hit with what feels like a thousand lightning bolts. Katie flinches as the electricity tries to crawl it's way through her incredibly thick ice, and Cel's TV and consoles go haywire.

 

Kiin shakes a bit for a few seconds, but nearly every bit of energy winds up being stored in her scepter, now crackling with overcharged energy.
"SUFFER NO MORE!" Kiin shrieks, blasting Abigail with ice so cold not even time can flow for her.
The electricity starts to move into her claws as she rears up for a full-weight stomp.
"I SAID RUN!" Shatter shouts.

 

Katie tries to grab as much of the ice directed at Abigail as she can, while Cel starts to siphon the electricity back from Kiin. Katie exits her ice ball and reluctantly throws it at Kiin's head, hitting her with a ton of weight.

Cel throws a small fireball into the logs of his fireplace, which light and begin to warm the room.

 

Katie winds up slowing herself to the point Abigail's body is frozen solid but not frozen in time, though as a result isn't able to spare Abigail getting stomped on.
Cel manages to pull the electricity out, and though Kiin stomps on Abigail's legs with all her weight there's no extra energy to further the damage.
Katie does knock Kiin over with the ice ball after the fact, dazing her, but Kiin turns towards Katie with a look of desperation and betrayal as she struggles to get back up on her feet.
After a few seconds of trying to stand, she starts gasping for air as her face turns from fury to pain.

Shatter seems to be keeping his distance.

 

Cel quickly redistributes the electricity to create a strange barrier above a frozen Abigail to mitigate some of the force of Kiin, while also removing the ice directly around Abigail so she's pushed into the floor by the force of Kiin's stomp instead of shattered. Cel's movements seem to be lightning fast, able to perform it right after absorbing the electricity.

"Katie, remove the ice." Cel says, pointing at the large sinkhole now in his living room. Katie does as instructed, melting and removing the ice around Abigail's broken body. Cel places one hand on Abigail's chest, and the other on her forehead, before pumping her with electricity. Abigail explodes with fire, eyes jolting open before being consumed by flames. The flames grow and shift, before a giant red dragon emerges from them, damaging Cel's living room a little more. The dragon's back legs appear to be rather damaged, through the rest of the dragon's body appears to be in fairly good shape.

Abigail roars, both in anger and pain, causing the whole house to shake.

 

Shatter starts rapidly thinning the air Abigail breathes as Kiin struggles to get up with renewed urgency and fear, the fireplace being extinguished as the whole house (discount where Abigail is currently) begins to frost over.

 

Katie tries to absorb the cold in the house as Cel transfers the cold into heat, Abigail roaring again and staring directly at Kiin.

"I'd rather you not freeze my house. It's not designed for such cold temperatures." Cel idly comments, directing the warmth toward Abigail.

 

Kiin crawls towards Abigail, seeming defiant,
"M-mother's... c-co-coming..." Kiin utters, trying to muster up the strength for one last attack. "M-moth-her w-will... a-a-"
Kiin gets knocked out by a sizable rock Shatter hit her in the back of the head with.

Abigail roaring takes out most of the air in her lungs, leaving her next to nothing to breathe as the air remains far too thin for a dragon to breathe.

 

Abigail chokes, trying to breathe, which draws the attention of Cel and Katie.

"Let her breathe, she'll do no harm." Cel says, looking at Shatter.

 

“It’s not fatally low, and I have no trust in her or you.” Shatter says bluntly. “She will be fine.”

 

"She needs air after what she's been through." Cel says sharply.

Katie, worried, throws an ice spear at Shatter.

"Leave her alone!" Katie shouts.

 

Shatter takes the spear to the face, unflinching and unscratched.
“She is not suffocating. She can breathe. My orders are to kill anyone who attacks the Admiral, I advise you accept my defiance as something that benefits you.” He says, quiet but serious as he thins the air less for Abigail.

 

"I suppose. I have heard about them, so I got an idea."
