"And why is that?"

 

"I don't think there's a need for that. A few of the guard's researchers have gone to the area to look for the one who did, and although I already have my suspicions, I'll wait for proper information." Raalehn says, shooting equal glances at everyone present. She keeps her eye on a quiet Darx a second longer, which seems to get slightly exasperated at the commander's action. She simply waves it off and laughs. "I'm just kidding."

Scribbling some runes Darx doesn't yet understand down, he manages to take all the notes he wants before the doctor asks for the cube back. "I'll be leaving now." He says, turning to the commander, which nods. The man leaves the room.

"Practicing magic in public is illegal, but inside your residence or simply studying it is free for all. That includes taking notes." She shoots a glance at Darx before returning to Deton. "But yeah. Your friend here broke the law, and it'd be a pretty small deal if he did attempt to fight." Raalehn finishes the sentence taking a bite off of her dry bread.

 

Darx trembles cus scary

 

"Come on boy, I'm not that scary." Raalehn laughs a bit at his reaction. "Thanks for helping my guards as well by the way." She dozes of a bit.
"Did I thank him already...?" She questions herself, in a very low tone of voice. "Anyways! You haven't told me why you are here."

 

“Was going to the library but you know what happened.”

 

"Cause you're only one person."

"Friends. Definitely," I mumble under my breath.

 

I nod qbout the magic part qnd when she mentions Vitiate i say "Friend? I wouldn't even conssider him as an acquaintance.

"Sometimes you don't need more then one person"

 

Nod.
"Yep."

"Then this is the part that's not 'sometimes'"

 

"Fair enough"

 

"Of course." The commander turns to the group. "I suggest you stay out of trouble now. After today, I won't let you leave without consequences. I've seen you use magic already," She points at Wren. "so I wouldn't linger on this town for much longer."

Getting up, Raalehn brushes her forehead. "I'll have a few guards escort you back to the establishment you were at." She looks at Fraise, who answers the silent question.
"The Dark Willow." The commander nods.
"That one. I'll have the guards pay for lunch, at least for those who eat." She smirks at Vitiate. "And that's it I guess. Any questions?"

 

"So the I help you l, you help me thing."
"That's called off?"

And oof, if magic was big illegal, I shouldn't have used it. Would have taken the hit, it doesn't look like the ice shield did anything anyways. xD
Fyi, do I know if its illegal anywhere else?

 

"That would be you not getting into trouble. I don't have to go after your group again, and you don't have to deal with being detained. Sounds good right?" She smiles at Wren contentedly. She leans against the wall, sighing. "For now, I've had enough action for the day. Getting angry makes you look older you know?" Raalehn says, pretending to truly care about the matter.

Sigh and wave my hand off.
"Are we done here then?"

 

"As I said, yes. My guards will walk you to The Dark Willow and yada yada yada." Raalehn seems annoyed to have to explain it again, moving her hands in circles as she does so anyways.

 

"Nevermind turns out i have some questions. How many guards anf how long will they be with us?"
