Approach the second.
"Need help?"
If he agrees, do basic first aid with the bandages I have.

 

I hold my head with my hand colapsing a bit but trying to act cool, the headache getting bad enough to cause a bit of a nose bleed as i wipe the blood with my other hand "that's the commander as you've probably guessed... mind if i lean a bit on your sholder?"

 

He nods slightly, looking very tired and dizzy. Laying down on his side, the guard seems like he is about to pass out.
Taking a look at his wound, Wren sees the glass shard is still in the man's leg. He could take it out, but the man would start bleeding more profusely.

 

Freezing it here would be more hurt then harm since it's raining.
"How far is the closest healer?"

 

"Uuh, mhm." The guard says, not hearing Wren correctly. The other guard walks up to the cloaked man, holding his burnt hand. He kneels down to be at the other's eyes level.
"I can heal him, but healing magic shouldn't be used for such serious wounds. It doesn't help the body." He says, still holding his wounded hand.
"I don't think we have other options though."

 

With the amount of blood on the ground, about how long will he live if the wound isn't treated?
Also, is my magic control over water or control over liquids.
And, if it's control over water, can I control blood, since it's partially water?

 

Wren can control other liquids, but to a lesser extent and with way less control over what happens. If he freezes blood, for example, it's way harder to get the extent he freezes it correct.
Given Wren's small amount of medical knowledge, he estimates between 10 minutes and 4 hours

 

10 minutes seems enough.

"You guys don't know any medics nearby?!"

 

"No, the closest is on the other side of town. This is a suburb, but pretty good for one." He says, dozing off a bit. His hand seems to be forgotten for a moment, and he lets it hang only to catch it with the other one a second later, wincing in pain.

 

"How long to get there?"
Apply pressure around the wound while we talk.

 

"I-, I don't know. It's pretty far, I'd say about 25 minutes, given we have to carry him." The guard says, looking down both thinking and sadly.
"I can help for now to close the wound, but it won't do him good in the long run." He offers.

 

"At least he won't die int he long run...
Do it."

 

The guard kneels down, putting his damaged hand out of the way. Pulling out the glass shard from the other guard's leg, the latter gets up from his bloodloss-induced sleep, screaming in pain. Before he can stop the wounded one from healing him, Wren pins him to the floor. "It's for your own good."

Working on the wound by touching the bloodied bandages and concentrating, the soldier from before begins mending the wound, it closing slightly. Looking back at it, Wren sees it's shallower now as well. By his estimates, the guard could probably take another 30 minutes to 6 hours, but weakened due to the blood loss.

 

Finally stepping up after he gains enough courage

"Uh, I think I can actually heal you maybe."

Darx then pulls out his book of runes and starts looking for any mending of wounds or healing.

 

Darx pulls out his personal journal, flipping through the pages of runes he thought were important. Finding a part of the book labelled' 'Healing' '. This part is mostly of how to mend items such as swords and other metallic objects and the suches. Regardless of the guard being made out of iron or not, the tests made with runes on living beings almost always led to the death of the organic material, so it's not a good idea to carve a rune into the guard's leg.

 

Check if I can make any bandages with the runes in anyway

 

"That would help."
Say towards the commander, "You seem to be fine here, so I'll leave with these two."

 

Looking around, Darx realizes the only available material for such is stone. He can tear a piece of his clothes to make a bandage though.

The commander turns to the cloaked man, grasping the monk by the back of his neck. Her eyes dart methodically back and forth between her squadron, before looking at the guard who is still standing. Her stern face is gone. "You're good?" She asks.

He looks down at his hands and says in a serious and sad tone. "I've seen better days. But I can manage. I'll take Jhan to the headquarter's nursery." He says, looking back at the man on the ground. "They seem to be up to helping us."

Turning around to look at the former spirit, the woman nods weakly. "Take care of yourselves." She says simply.

"You too, Raa." He answers before turning to the three. "Let's go."

 

Darx says to him

"I can make a bandage for your leg if you give me your clothes."

 

"We don't wear much under this armour, only a basic shirt and pants. The runes inside do the job of keeping us warm. I don't think my wet clothing is going to be of much help." Answers the guard standing up, looking saddened. He rummages through a pocket in his belt, taking out a small roll of bandages.
"I hope this can help." He hands Darx the roll. "Hang in there Jhan."
