Seear's Dance Rp [5/5]

The hilts extend into full on double-bladed pikes, with 5 floating around me and one in each hand.

I hear up the commander's sword to a glowing white hot, charting and burning her hand.

"What manner of power is this?" She says.

"You presume limits to my power." I say, "There are none."

The sword explodes into a shower of sparks and a pool of molten metal.

"Run now. I may not be so merciful in the future." I say.

Every other sword is at the neck or heart of a guard nearby.

 

Granted, Vitiate attempts to heat up the spear in the woman's hand, but the combination of fire magic, combined with the commander's strange aura, make her barely bat an eye at the spirit. Her guards seem terrified by the spirits expression, though.

The spirit then proceeds to transform his own swords into pikes, with them floating towards the guards and their respective necks. When a said pike points to the woman's neck, or attempts to, it falls limply on the ground. The commander is not surprised, taking a step further towards the spirit.
"I will need your name, age and nation of origin, please comply to these requests." The woman says, in a tone that pointed that she probably had to say that phrase many times a day.

 

"Vitiate Teaneran. 132. Illiarel. Not that you'll remember it for long." I thrust all my swords forward at her, stabbing through her heart, neck, head, and arms. For safe measure, I allow myself to quickly Transcend, and send huge amount of electric energy through her entire body, rendering her not only dead but mangled and charred with lightning.

"Any other contenders?" I say with a threatening tone.

 

Once the swords begin speeding towards her, Vitiate feels again a strange aura around the woman, and once in range, all the sword begin to decelerate and drop to the floor with a loud 'clang' sound. A single sword, who kept a little more speed, is deflected by her spear lazily.

Irritated, Vitiate sends a wave of electricity in her direction, crackling on its way to the commander. 'Again, this sensation...' The spirit thinks as the lightning seemingly dissipates when entering the same range of the swords, leaving a smell of ozone in the air. The two other guards began whispering to each other, although rather loudly.
"He didn't get it yet, did he?" One asks the other. The latter responds. "No, I don't think so..."
Joining the conversation, the woman says. "Hush you two, let him find out. And do your job for once." Her voice is imposing, and so the guards start moving again to shoo the citizens away.

 

Comply and go with the guards.

Darx thinks “Huh, magic and particularities.”

 

Shake my head.
"Not even a fight."
Continue to shoo people away.

 

"I see. You don't have to answer my other inquiry, it'll be more challenging and fun to figure it out myself."
Fraise took several more sips of his beer, about half way done with it. He sighed as he played with the necklaces around his neck,
"What do you propose should be our next step, Deton? So far, you're the only company I met that I actually tolerate. I mean it as a compliment, of course."

 

"Have a guess why don't you, if you get it right I'll tell you. As for what to do now, i have an end goal in mind, but it's out of reach for now"

 

"Who are you to deny my unfettered power?!" I say, Transcending as I speak.

I begin to bend the fabric of the world around me, bending, obscuring, shifting, reshaping and obfuscating the area as time and space become mingled, adding new color, new dimensions to space and time.

The clouds begin swirling in the sky. A giant pillar of hundreds of lightning bolts rain down from the sky, all striking on her. I shatter every window in the area, funneling every sharp shard of glass into one maelstrom of blades, hurling it all at her.

 

Damm and i thought edgy characters were my thing

 

Fraise quirked an eyebrow, a devious smile slowly forming. He stopped playing with his necklaces and leaned a bit closer to Deton,
"Aren't you a mystery as well. Hmmm. I guess our search should continue somewhere else. Tell me, am I correct?"

 

"Ptobably"

 

"I'll take that as a yes. Let's finish our drinks and get a move on, there's no time to waste."
Draining the last few sips of his beer, Fraise placed the mug down and sighed contently. He adjusted his necklaces to hang a bit more comfortably around his neck.

 

I down what's left in the cup "Lead the way"

 

Fraise left the table and gave the barman a playful wink as he lead Deton outside. He took a moment to look around them before turning to face him,
"Perhaps the local militia here know something about the librarian. It wouldn't hurt to find their captain and ask them what they already know."

 

"Sure"

 

Walking towards the headquarters of the city's guard, Deton and Fraise did a little small talk and theorizing about the spirit and the pair. Eventually forgetting about the pair with a shrug, both walked for a few solid minutes in cold silence. Once reaching a bifurcation, the Aatsuran pointed towards the place the spirit was. "Isn't that the silver-haired teen from before? And the cloaked one?" He asked, squinting his eyes.

Activating his Particularity for yet another time, Deton did little more than looking at them for a pair of seconds before nodding and confirming the older one's suspicion. "Yeah. I don't think I should push myself about such trivial information though." He said, with his nose bleeding a little bit and a burning headache.

Even further away in that direction, a shadowy figure could be seen, and the recognizable sound of clattering metal pointed towards a fight. Sighing deeply and resting his chin on his hand, Fraise shook his head in not-so-sad disbelief. "He never learns, does he?" Tapping his shoulder, the Herilian informed. "He's fighting the commander of this district."
"We should go there then, hm?~" Said the dancer, before walking down the street.

Approaching the group, the pair from before stopped them from going any further. "Hey, uh, hi again." Said Darx, standing on the way of the two alongside Wren. "Commander said people shouldn't be here. So yeah." He completed. The cloaked boy simply nodded. "We were leaving soon anyw-"

Before being able to complete his sentence, Wren was interrupted by the darkening sky and the sound of shattering glass, which all sped in its way towards the commander.

The spirit roared in rage, seemingly concentrating and turning into the shadowy figure from before. The commander turned towards her two guards and for the first time, seemed to be in a worried tone of voice. "You two. Helmets. Now." The woman followed her own warning, taking the helmet off her belt and putting it over her head. Looking over to the sky, a few drops of rain fell into the woman's grey-blue helmet. She pointed to her guards, who already had their helmets, and then to her side. Immediately understanding, the pair rushed over to her side.

Filling the air, an ozone-like stench made evident of what was about to happen. With what was left of his arms in the shadowy form, Vitiate pulled them down, summoning a dozen of lightning strikes in the area of the woman, followed shortly after by a storm of glass shards, all of which seemed to go straight for the woman. The smoke that rose from the strikes had not gone down, and the spirit phased back into its normal form, suffering severely from the over usage of Lightning.

Getting up from the shockwave, both Darx and Deton looked weirdly at the two other men. Fraise waved at them from inside a house, which window had been blown off. Wren on the other hand, Wren was also on the floor, but seemed severely shaken, holding up his hands in the air. A few shimmering ice shards were littered all over the floor around him, but no idea of how they got there.

"Oh my, you look shocked." Fraise joked at the cloaked boy, who turned to look at him, eyes still wide and still painting. Darx helped him up, his legs shaking slightly. Jumping beautifully out of the window, the Aatsuran joined the other three. Looking over to the centre of the explosion, the smoke began to go down.

Standing slightly crooked and beaten, was the commander. A glass shard was poking out from her arm and her leg, having gone through her armour. She took off her helmet to look menacingly at the spirit, with a few cuts in her face. The other guards were way worse; One was hit in the arm by one of the strikes, with his armour seemingly burnt and slightly molten into his flesh, the other with a shard directly into the inside of his leg.

"You've done it now." The commander says, clearly enraged. She begins taking strides towards the spirit.

 

Explain to me, or were these subconciously done?

 

Everyone got down from the main strike, either for getting cover or for being knocked back by the shockwave. However, there were other lightning striking on the street, and so one fell on Wren's vicinity. He, however, had prepared a shield beforehand, expecting this exact situation. He didn't think it would actually happen though, and when the lightning hit and was 'deflected', he was shaken and scared.
