I wait counting my coin now that I have a table

 

The table is unoccupied, much like the entire bar. A table was being used by a trio of men, who seemed to be entertained in their card game. As soon as the two men sat at the table, the young barman appeared with a mug of beer for each of them. "For being frequent costumers." He says with a wink and leaves.

Deton reaches for his other pocket, taking out a satchel of coins. Even though he was only able to get a small amount of his family's money when he left, Deton still had a considerable amount of money, even after so much time. Being able to loan money from people was also a big help.

I thank the barman and take a sip the tur to Fraise "So what are we talking about today?"

 

Fraise's eyes trailed after the barman, a smile slowly growing on his lips. Taking a sip of the beer, Fraise turned his attention to Deton as he crossed his legs and leaned back into his chair,
"Tell me, Deton, what do you think about this surprise death that we stumbled across? There surely must be an answer to this mystery we have on our hands."

 

"I have 3 theories,"i lift up 1 finger "1 it was Vitiate as he seemed suspicous, but that's about it in that theory as he might just be suffering from brain damage for his age."lift a second finger "2 it was as Wren said and it was a fight or assasination, he had no reason to lie to us except me being an ass, but he also had no reason to tell the truth" lift up a third finger." 3 Wren did it, even with someone like Vitiate he was the most suspicous there, also didn't seem like he cared that much abouy it, my probelm is that the guy with him didn't look like he'd kill." I lower my fingers and take another sip "What about your thoughts?"

 

Fraise grabbed his mug and drank from it as he processed Deton's theories. After several gulps, he placed the mug down with a sigh and chuckled,
"Those are rather interesting ideas. However, I believe there might be something else you're glossing over. We don't know the past history and connections our dear librarian had. Who knows if he pressed the wrong buttons on someone else that ultimately caused his unfortunate passing. I'd rather not think that the trio we stumbled across had anything to do with this death, but I won't keep my hopes up. I wonder if someone here has information on our lovely librarian..."

 

"Give me a second" I'll scan everyone in the tavern with my particularity to see if anyones has ties to the library here.

 

No one seems to be of interest, most are just common workers taking a day off. The barman doesn't seem to know about anything either.

 

Fraise arched an eyebrow and looked around the room, a couple of patrons catching his eye a moment longer than he anticipated. He turned back to Deton,
"Any luck, great detective? I didn't know you can read people from across the room so well. Please, enlighten me on your...techniques."

 

Well. I planned on leaving everything behind and not interfering but since it's right infront of me...

"Punishment? Yes. Oh, surely.

But to whom is the punishment dealt to?"

Every one of my swords rises up from the ground, pointing accusatory at her.

I open up the palms of my hands, and lightning arcs across my arms and hands, now also pointing at her.

"Kneel before the Serpent of Illiarel!"

"Sir, I don't know if you've noticed, but you're in the wrong nation. Fuck if I care about Illiarel." The commander says, drawing out a spear from her back. It's pretty standard for Coldenic guards. A rune glows in it's blade, with a corresponding glow in her hand before both fading.

"I will repeat once more, surrender." She says, putting her spear on the ground besides her, with a hand on her waist.

 

"Damn, shits going down. Hopefully that spooky guy doesn't involve us."

 

Oh hey, a spear.
How well versed does she seem in using it?
Based on that one move though, I don't expect to get much insight.

 

Having no idea how well she can use it on battle, Wren simply squints his eyes and shrugs, taking mental notes of how to take out a spear from your back and look threatening.

Wren steps closer, but otherwise doesn't interfere and watches.

 

The commander looks at the cloaked one with the corner of her eye, before turning to look at the spirit. She gestures with her head towards Wren and Darx. The other guards look to the two.
"Make yourselves useful and escort the civilians off the area." She says, still looking towards Vitiate.

 

Give the other guards a nod and move to do so.
Gesture everyone away, and if they question it point with my spear towards the upcomming battle.
