I order my army to directly attack Zarfinell. I then call out to the co-chief,
"This is the leader you wish to follow?! Join us, help me take him down!"

Seeing that the other forces are still hanging around, trying to kill time, you decide to rest some more.

After completing your small nap, a messenger arrives to the docks. He shouts in a loud and clear voice, "Attention, Corkian forces! The government wishes to apologize for the lengthened inconvenience, but, however, the Elite Factory Forces still need a couple more hours to be booted. Head Asner states that 'these forces have been thrown away in the darkness of the basements, and that it'll take a pretty good amount of time before they're ready.'"

The other forces groan in unison.

Fleur, the alchemist wears a happy grin on her face when she sees you heading inside the door.

"Oh, you're back! We were starting to get worried a bit, but it's all good here. I mean, well, the situation isn't really... anyway, have you brought the necessary ingredients to be infused?"
The co-chief wears a confused expression, as if deciding whose side he is on. He throws up his weapon in exasperation and starts to flee out the cove.

"Ha, knew that excuse for a co-leader was nothing but sea trash. You mechs!" Zarfinell calls out to the co-chief's "mining" mechs. "Take care of the commander's men, whilst I mess with the commander in a duel!"

4x Bandit Mech ea. have 8/8 HP and 3 AS. (50% CTD)
Bandit Chief Zarfinell has 40/40 HP and 3 AS. (10% CTD)
Kato has 25/25 HP and 13 AS. (30% CTD)

Do you wish to create a new strategy?

Keeping my rising temper at bay, I release a curt sigh and turned to my troops, attempting to boost their morale.
"Plan B. Lure the mechs in and remember your training. There's strength in numbers, so rely on each other. I'll buy you time from Zarfinell."

"Oh, wonderful! I must thank you once again."

You hand the variety of ingredients to the alchemist, where she places them in a wooden bowl. She starts to look through the items you have collected while simultaneously checking her notebook. About halfway through, she suddenly sucks in a large gasp in surprise.

"Oh... dear... I'm afraid... afraid that the amount of realm orbs are not enough..."

You pick up your items and start heading to the Factory.

The Factory is almost a whole new place; a variety of metal tools and wicked weapons (like a 10-foot spiked flail) are everywhere and it looks like a very large workshop in fact. Antikythera 2.0, in its robot form, is zooming--no, teleporting--across the space trying to fit the weapons and other parts on to the menacing beasts of metal docked off to the side.

"OH, YOU'RE HERE, TSU. WONDER HOW MY COMPUTERIZED INSTINCTS DIDN'T PICK THAT UP. IT'S PROBABLY ALL THE PRESSURE ASNER'S PUT ON ME, AFTER ISSUING SUCH A HUGE ORDER AND REQUIRING IT DONE IN AN IMPOSSIBLE AMOUNT OF TIME. HECK, I HAVEN'T DONE SUCH A DIFFICULT JOB IN YEARS!"

Your men briskly nod, and begin to combat the mechs.

Meanwhile, Zarfinell casts an evil glare at you, which you instinctively return to him. He lets out a wild war scream and starts charging toward you at a speed that does not match the bandit's weight. Nevertheless, you quickly roll to the side while the bandit smashes into a stone wall.

You steal a quick glance over to your army where your front line spearmen are skillfully attacking with their spears, blocking the attacks from the mechs' pickaxe-swords. You watch as two mechs fall to the ground. But so does one of your own. (-2 AS)

Taking advantage of your short distracted state, Zarfinell lets out a smaller yell and slices his small saber at you. (-3 HP) You scramble to your feet, and return an attack with your own weapon. (15 dmg)

The two bandit mechs are gaining a slight edge, and pierce the formation with their weapons. Another of your men fall. (-2 AS)

One of your only archers gains a lucky shot at the first bandit mech, severing its head.

You strike Zarfinell in the chest with your weapon, and he stumbles. There, you hit the chief again. The chief raises his hands in surrender, panting as a trickle of blood runs down his cheek.

"Stop!" Zarfinell gets up to his feet. "My last mech, stop!"

Zarfinell grunts. "Hmph. You may have defeated me today, but remember, I will still be around!" He starts mumbling, "Should've brought my good armor..." You stare as the defeated bandit chief limps down the spiraling cave path.

"Whatcha lookin' at? Go, scram!" Zarfinell spits out.

You gained +5 AS as xp.

Kato has 22/25 HP and 14 AS.

Antikythera lets out a mechanical sigh.

"SURE, YEAH, BUT, NO OFFENSE HERE, TEN OF YOU COULDN'T SIGNIFICANTLY 'HELP' ME HERE.

"ANYWAY, I JUST NEED 4x Lithium Battery Component FOR THIS GUY RIGHT HERE." It points to one of the forces' bots. "NOT BEHAVING AT ALL WITH THESE LOW-GRADE BATTERIES. IT'S PROBABLY SOMEWHERE IN THE MASSIVE PILE OVER THERE." The supercomputer points to a leaning tower of scrap and metal, maybe 10 whole feet tall.

You sprint out of the city, across the plain, and navigate to the optometry. You walk in the door, panting.

"Ah, there you are! I was thinking if you had run off. Anyways, have you brought the materials?"

Zarfinell, face red, swivels around. Then he slowly puts on a small smirk.

    "Heh. Maybe."

You stretch your arms out in a circle around yourself and circulate your head around to break out some energy.

You proceed to the towering pile of metal and tools and work your way from the very bottom.

Scrap, bolts, scrap, more scrap, a wrench... huh, no battery. You continue to dig in some more when your hands feel a foam-like object. You heave it out, and it turns out to be a small, glowing electric ball coated in a special type of paper. While it does look like a battery, you probably should check with Antikythera to see if that's the correct item.

"No. I've learned to be economical with the truth and I certainly don't have a knack for honesty. Now, run off, we might meet again..." the chief says in a sneer, but with a hint of nervousness. He continues to walk down the path before you can stop him, and eventually, he sprints out of sight.

"Ah, perfect! I'll take that..." The optometrist takes the ingredients and shuffles to his workbench. While he works away at it, he says "Don't worry, I promise this won't take too long..."

Patiently waiting, you decide to take a look around the small lobby. There are four paintings of old men docked on the wall, each having a larger frame from the first to the last. The last one in the progression has a plaque attached to it, and it reads: "Oliver, master of Optometry. We, citizens of Cinfras, thank this man for granting eyesight to those who are unfortunate."

I growled lightly and turned to one of the troops whom walked with me,
"I doubt the co chief was lying to us. However, we don't have the time to run into a battle we can't win. Search through the camp and caves to see if we can find anything useful."

"Hm? What's that?" says the optometrist, still working on the spectacles.

    "HM..."

Antikythera studies the object with all twenty lenses and limbs.

"HOLY MOTHER OF CERID! HOW'D THIS GET IN HERE??" Antikythera quickly grabs it with an arm and heaves it across the gigantic room, where it lands in a muffled explosion.

"CERTAINLY NOT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, HUH."

One of your youngest men lets out a small whimper and pipes up.

"Well... since you did say to not bite off more than we can chew... I have a feeling that the bandit caves might be... a force too strong for us?"

The rest of your men nod.
