Hello! I have left the community for awhile due to specific matters and I have returned!
I have come with a question the community for being such an old geezer.
The you level up your combat and get "Points," what do you usually use them on?

I myself do Agility and Defense since I die.... a lot.
Enjoy Wynncraft and remember... Don't let those pesky Grooks bite you! ;)

    It depends on play style

If you want a build thats super quick, dexterity
If you like spell spamming intelligence is perfect
For walk speed builds like archer i would go with agility
Defence is for a tanky build along with strength

At low levels it doesn’t really matter what you go for, just fulfill the item requirements, you can see more info in the class builds section of the forums

Alright, here are them, listed in terms of usefullness. Partially my opinion:

S - Inteligence. Spells are extremely strong and inteligence is thus extremely good as it makes them better.
A - Agility. Agility allows you to 100% dodge damage if you get lucky. It's here because it's better.
B - Dexterity. Pretty meh but the extra damage is neat and it's useful if you want to use spell damage items.
    C - Strength and defence.
    Where to start.
First of all, they both give you slow items often with -walkspeed, and being slow is not fun. Second, they favour melee over spells, and spells are far superior to melee (unless broken game mechanics are exploited). Third, while strength is overall pretty meh, defense is WORSE

You see, strength and dexterity are related. If you invest 10 skill points in strength, you get 7% flat damage boost but with dexterity you get a 7% chance to deal double damage, so it's the same on avarage.

However, with defence, it is inferior to agility. BY A LOT.
7% in defence only reduces NEUTRAL damage and does not reduce other damage, but if you dodge with that 7%, you dodge ELEMENTAL DAMAGE TOO. Thus, agility actually makes you tankier than defence does.

Strength and defence don't even have that good items.

In summary, Agility and Inteligence are easily the best while dexterity is meh and Strength and Defence are horrible without a dedicated build.
That's why you should use Agility and Inteligence a lot.

This information is heavily outdated. Def and Agi give the same benefits on average after the recent change. Dex and Str are also equivalent on average - I agree they're a bit weaker, but making them multiplicative would also make them ridiculously overpowered. If you're running a spell build Intelligence is a must, otherwise it's usually not worth having.

From my experience, for the best outcome, you should incorporate intelligence into your build. It decreases the mana cost of your spells, which is the most essential part of combat (and really the entire game). From that you can really put in whatever you choose, though put in points that favor your playstyle (for example, strength/dexterity if you want to utterly maximize your damage at the cost of survivability.)

Really depends on your build, weapon, and playstyle. If your planning to use spells at all, you need to invest into intelligence (unless you're doing some sort of brainwash gimmick). The rest of your skill points can be decided from your weapon and your gear, which in turn can be decided by your preferred playstyle. If you want to play tanky, use defense (gear with defense will also come with health, health regen etc.) or agility (which is tied to a more luck-based playstyle and has lots of walkspeed). If you want damage, look into earth and/or thunder.
