I've been living in Arizona for almost 11 3/4 years, and I (actually) come from the Philippines, though I don't act like, or speak like someone born from there; My native language is also English.

I can top that tho. I’ve lived most my life outside my country of birth! I’m barely American!

 

I’m from Florida - the land of sunshine, hurricanes, alligators, and the strange men who make it into news articles! It’s also the place that can be like 40 degrees in the morning, then 80 degrees in the afternoon during the winter. Not to mention how on/off the weather is lol. So many drastic changes can happen in one day. In the summer, it’s rainy season, so mix the d e n s e humidity with 100 degree weather, and you’ve set yourself up with a miserable day outside. That’s what AC’s for, folks!

Despite these many things, there’s no place I’d rather be, haha. Well, Texas is a possible contender. But I like where I am right now lol.

I've been in west virginia for the past 2 months for vacation actually and have heard that song way more than necessary

I live in/am from Alaska though, very pretty, lots of igloos, penguins, and polar bears.
and WAY less bugs than there are in the contiguous US

 

I hate the song too XD. Do you have any odd rules on wildlife? I always figured that you were just supposed to act like they aren't there, and they won't bother you.

 

Oh, the BPA warnings

I heard when a bear attacks you , you make a lot of noise, and very slowly back away. The bears hate the noise, and if they don't find any food, they'll leave. Also, some people say that you should throw rocks at them but I'm not sure. With a mountain lion, you need to make yourself larger, so raise your jacket above your head, or chuck a pop-up tent at it.
I moved to Seattle, like 2 months ago, and this was the advice my summer public speaking teacher gave me (She lives on a farm/ ranch).

 

I would make a lot of noise if I was attacked by a bear XD. Thanks for the answer though!
