{rp} Tysra's Aftermath [6/6]

"Oh yeah, they always fall for that. It's basically tradition, haha! Anyways, let's see here..."

Kindra got up and pushed one of the wall doors open, revealing a long corridor. It was pretty dusty with some cobwebs clinging onto the hanging lanterns, but the other doors and walls leading into different rooms seem to still be in nice condition. She began walking to one of the doors at the far end of the corridor,

"There's plenty of theories as to what this building was before the institution. Some say it was another dormitory, others say it was a library, and even crazier guesses floated around the school. But hey, it's none of our business I guess."

She attempted to open the door, and after struggling a few times, decided to kick it open. The door slammed against the wall and shelves of books line the room, a couple of dusty carpets scattered on the floor. Kindra began walking to a bookshelf,

"Who needs to go to the library when you have your own? Find something you like, I doubt anyone would care if it's gone."

Lux tucked the pistol behind him and opened the door a bit, glaring at the trio. One of them perked up at the sight of him,

"Oh hey, someone's alive! Excuse me, sir, but are you proficient with any forgery skills? We're looking for capable people who would like to join a project as announced by Peacemaker Redu."

As Kollin made his way to Jonathan's home, he couldn't shake off the feeling of being followed. He continued walking and as he was on the street of Jonathan's house, he heard some gravel crunching behind him. Ready to sprint it to Jonathan's, a voice called out to him,

"Kollin, is that you? It's me, Beci!"

Hilda turned her head back to look at Silva, the last of the sunset slowly being drained from the sky and being replaced with dark shades of blue,

"That's weird, don't you think? Why would people wanna search through the forests to find you? Don't you feel afraid how one day, something bad could happen to you?"

"Elizabeth! Nice to meet you, Frozlar. Are you a new student? I don't think I remember you from last year."

As Elizabeth spoke, she took out a fairly nice notebook and pouch with multi-colored pens poking out of it. She flipped through her notebook and Frozlar caught several glimpses of animal drawings within the pages.

 

I look behind me and say "Oh? What are you doing here?"

 

"Oh, nice!" Looking suddenly excited, Tae drew a rune for light in the air, walking around the bookshelves for books on old armour smithing and ancient rune studies.

 

"Why people search for me is a question I myself am unable to answer as well. But regardless of that, I believe it is only right for me to return kindness to people when nature has thus far been so kind to me. And if something bad were to happen to me, then so it would happen."

 

put the pistol back in the uhhh holster then respond with "Yea ok"

 

"I was wondering if I could talk to you about something regarding Lady Paris. If you're busy right now, I'll save it for tomorrow. I know it's quite late at night to hold serious conversations."

Roaming around the room and looking at the shelves, Tae's eyes scanned the old, leather spine covers. Most of the books seem to be about the past history of Kelas, recounting certain time periods or rulers that lead the kingdom. Near the back of the miniature library, Tae discovered what looked like a manual for forging specific small armor pieces. Tucking it under her arm, Tae continued her search for any books regarding rune studies. After a couple of unlucky minutes, Kindra poked her head around a shelf corner,

"Hey! Ready to leave?"

"I see...Don't you ever get lonely though? I mean, I don't want to say you don't have friends!! But, well..do you have friends?"

Hilda sighed as the duo made it through the forest and out to a meadow clearing. Spiraling towers and structures loomed in the distance, no doubt being Ozvio. She turned back to Silva and gave a small, sad smile,

"Well, I guess you don't need to answer that. Thanks for guiding me. Although, are you sure you don't want to at least stay at my place for a night? Who knows if the boar will come back for vengeance?!"

"Ohoho~! Marvelous!! You'll find us tomorrow morning at the heart of the docks. Please, do come! We need all the help we can get."

The trio gave curt bows and began to make their way to another nearby cottage shop. Lux shrugged and turned off his front porch lantern before closing the door.

 

"I'm not super busy, so i can spare about a half hour if it won't take longer then that, I'm all ears"

 

Looking around hurriedly for a quick search, Tae then turned around to Kindra.
"Yeah, sure! I found something nice to read and not think about the fireheads." She chuckled a bit at her own joke.

 

Now eat the salmon

 

Beci tried to hide the disappointed shock on her face, but replaced it with a small grin,

"Oh, I don't think half an hour is enough...maybe I'll stumble across you tomorrow! Have a nice night."

Beci bowed slightly and quickly made her way down the street.

"Haha, that's good. The rest of the rooms are practically empty rooms, although some of them still have cabinets and tables. Weirdly enough, we can't seem to crack the locks open. Anyways, let's head back to the main room, Nyxio wants us to leave. Unless you wanna look around a bit more real quick?"

Lux returned to his salmon and began eating, pleasantly surprised he cooked it rather well. He wasn't too tired at the moment, so he wondered whether he wanted to do something else after dinner to to just turn it in early for the night.

 

"Nah, it's fine." Walking past Kindra and tapping her on the shoulder, Tae goes through the door. "Let's go."

 

I'll keep going to Jonathans house

 

Silva smiles back.
"I believe you fear the wrong things. Would it not be prudent to think that the boar might come after you as well? Now come, let me escort you to your home." he says.

 

Kindra led Tae back to the main room, Nyxio opening the classroom exit door,

"Alright, looks like they left. Thanks for coming over to sketch, everyone! Let's make this summer session a good one! Get some rest."

The students began filing out of the classroom, some of the yawning loudly. Tae couldn't seem to find a clock as she walked out, but she guessed it must be about midnight.

Kollin returned to his walk to Jonathan's home. It was a simple cottage some of the other guild members had, most likely to blend in with the other townsfolk. He knocked on the door a couple of times and saw the door open just a bit,

"Kollin? What're you doin' here at this time of night? Ugh, no matter, come inside."

Jonathan swung the door open and Kollin slipped inside, hearing a couple of locks clicking behind him. Jonathan's cottage was pretty cozy to his likings, furniture, and decoration of both the capital and guild secretly hidden all over the place.

"O-Oh!! Uhmm, I guess you have a point there too. Okay, let's go! Maybe you could stay the night there too if you want?"

Hilda giggled lightly and the duo traversed through the meadow fields until they reached Ozvio's main gate. Several guards snapped their heads up from dozing off and readied their swords and lances, a couple of other guards on top of the wall pointing bows at the duo. Hilda screeched and tucked herself behind Silva,

"Eek!! Silva, say something!!"

 

Yawning and lazily stretching her arms, Tae began tracing the way back to her dorm. Once at the door, she looked to see if Lys and Kindra were by her, and then went in.
Taking off her boots, she jumped straight into bed. "Goodnight everyone."

 

"I wanted to get your help on something." I pull out the letter seal and evelope "Me and a couple of the guild members went on a run tonight, we split up and I went into Lord Hartos house, found this letter wanted to know if you know anything more about it"

 

Lysanna sighed as she threw off her jacket and wrapped herself up under her sheets,

"Night, see you nerds in the morning."

Kindra smiled and went into the bathroom, changing into a nightgown. She fluffed up her pillow and yawned,

"Sweet dreams, everyone!"

The night went by without any sudden disturbances. A light ringing slowly woke Tae up from her slumber and she rubbed her eyes as she sat up. She heard some rustling behind her and Lysanna growling,

"Kindraaaa, it's too early for this. Why'd you set an alarm so earlyyy?"

"Hey, I wanna be first in line for breakfast! Plus, you always wanna sleep in on the first day of class. You should be grateful I'm keeping us accountable!"

Jonathan grabbed the letter and studied it for a few minutes. He sighed and tossed it on a nearby table, rubbing his face as he walked away,

"Lady Paris once again causing a ruckus within Seston. I'd say I'm surprised, but I'm really not. I don't know what quarrels she has with Harto, I've never seen him with any of her entourage. Perhaps you should spot this 'messenger' of hers and see what you can get out of 'em. But you should do that with some sleep. Back home."

 

"She did just want to speak to me, probably was a bad idea to turn her down. I was thinking of sneaking in there and eavsdropping a bit, want to join me?"

 

Rubbing her eyes and grunting at the alarm and the brightness, Tae sat on her bed. "What even is the time right now? I feel like I could sleep for another day."
Straightening her clothes and ruffling her hair before going to the bathroom to actually tidy up, Tae washed her face and looked at Lysanna and Kindra before yawning.
"I'm totally ready. Totally."

 

Actually just go to bed
