Welcome to Androzaan: Ghostcallings, a medieval fantasy RP in which the end of the world is heralded by an age of strife, war, ghosts, dark secrets, and untold power. Revive the ancient order of the Ghostcallers of Androzaan to prevent the dark god Rakatok from securing his wrath upon the world.

Spoiler: Plot

The Androzaan Ghostcallers were a revered ancient order. The ability to absorb the power of these malevolent, undead demi-gods was a respected power in ancient Classical Androzaan society. Now, with these ghosts contained in the underworld, or in the physical vessels of relics, this power has faded into obscurity and fallen out of use.

600 years ago, the Mindoraani Union of northern Androzaan sent a small group of explorers and guards to map out the Jiigan Pass through the mountains separating east and west Androzaan. A northern faction of the Orsten Da nomads mistook it for an invasion of hallowed, sacred Orsten Da land that formed the pilgrimage to Lakorn Marka Stadikraanda, “The Great Temple at Heaven”, then attacked and destroyed the exploratory convoy. The Mindoraani Union struck back, and thus began a slow war. It peaked with the great battle of Noxkii (Androzaan God of Might and Wrath) wherein the Orsten Da lured the forces to the birthplace of Noxkii’s first prophet, a most sacred spot amongst the followers of Noxkii, and attempted to summon Noxkii there to smite the Mindoraani. Andro, the God of Time, and Chief of the 5, viewed the summoning of a god to interfere in human conflict to be insulting, and cast them adrift on the currents of time. They have returned to the present day, and in a petty effort to avenge their loss, have called upon Rakatok, God of Death, Rebirth, and the Afterlife to send his wrath down upon the world to end all those who have opposed the Orsten Da. He fullfilled their wish and more; Now the walls between the normal world and the Void (Hell) are crumbling, the line between reality and fiction becomes less and less apparent, and the two planes of existence are beginning to merge. These malevolent demi-gods, ghosts, have begun to roam the world once more, doing Rakatok’s bidding as he is poised to become the new head of the pantheon as without Androzaan, Andro’s power is fading.

Will one hero rise above the rest to save the world? Perhaps a group of heroes? Maybe Rakatok will earn his place at head of the pantheon with no one to stop him? Only one thing is for certain - nothing is certain.

Where is your character from (City/town/settlement/region/tribe): My character hails from Esdel in the territories held by the Ismr bandit clans.

Character position (Farmer, Lower Classes, Nobility, etc.): My character comes from the Orden clan, a traditional, old clan. While never seeing battle directly, Korka was the son of the second chieftain.

Age of your character: 23

Character skills (Affinities, Weapons): My character is a naturally curious person, and as such has held fascination in the magic arts for some time. A quick and natural Conjurer, Korka summons creatures from the depths of oblivion to dispatch his enemies without the use of external, physical relics.

Allegiance (Dark: Rakatok - Destroy the world, Light: Humans - Save the world): My character, leaving behind his past in the bandit clans, has viewed his past as a moral failing of his own, and now strides to be the light against his former dark. He opposes the Dark God Rakatok.

A natural curiosity from birth points my character firmly to choose Knowledge over all else.

Q. Is your character a ‘strict morals’ person or more of a ‘moral grey’ archetype and why?
My character is both. While they believe in serving good in all cases, they believe sometimes the greater good trumps all else, and will reluctantly make sacrifices in order to preserve his cause.

Q. Is your character more of a “Question all authority” or “Follow orders” person and why?

My character is a rogue of sorts. While adhering to strict practices, he's not afraid to do what's right - even if it means upsetting the status quo and plunging into chaos - 'No authority should be left unquestioned'

Q. Is your character a leader or a follower and why?
My character is neither. My character revels in his own strength, preferring to keep to himself in all things, as he trusts himself and himself alone.

Q. Is your character interested in the greater, divine, eternal affairs, or a more common-man person and why?
My character wishes to preserve the natural kindness of the human race, and if that means using rituals and prayers to root out corruption wherever he goes; so be it. He wants to keep the short and long term in mind, as he views both to be of similar importance.

Q. (Optional) What is your character’s backstory?
My character hails from the Orden bandit clan under the Ismr Clans Alliance. He was the son of the secondary chieftain. Learning to sneak and steal from a young age, he stole volumes of elder texts and hidden knowledge, soaking up every known aspect of the arcane arts. After overhearing the plan from bandit Clan Elders to destroy a nearby town, home to many people, especially children, he made an important choice - he rode ahead and evacuated the town, holding off the attacking forces with his powers and saving their people in the process. Today, he works to root out corruption, deceit, lies, trickery, and evil wherever he goes. He wishes only to atone for his past life.

It’s not a strict game with exact rules or gameplay - make your character and give it a story, make decisions, and I will move the story forward consistent with your decisions and character. Statistics and such are not necessary, and it will have a looser overall structures. Sometimes, you may come up with your own decisions, or there will be a short list of preselected choices you can pick from.

i.e. less restrictions, more freedom. If you wish to add statistics or similar 'scorings of strengths', you may, and these will influence how I handle your character.

You should also be aware that there will be a reputation affected by all your actions throughout the course of the RP.

The language of the Kikkoo, the inhabitants of the southern tropic isles of Namalē, who traveled north into the rainforests and mountains that are now home to the Orsten Da nomadic tribes. Very rarely ever used outside the dominion of the Orsten Da tribes, and even within, Androzaanika is used more often, Θokɹi is more of a formality than anything. Learn it here (vocabulary, lexicon, and grammar are incomplete and simple. If you wish to add anything to it, ask me to do it. I seriously need help and ideas to expand it.)

Spoiler: Creation

Eons ago, sat the Elder God on the throne of omnipotence. He himself was not special, save his control over 5 comets, hurtling through the empty void, and he alone inhabited Creation - or at least, what parts of Creation there were. He tried endlessly to create, try after try, he failed. In his sadness he wallowed, braising himself in his own tears, for he felt so utterly defeated, and in himself he lost all faith. Try as he might, all the universe could be was particles bound together by nothing in the void of space, while 5 comets of unknown force flung through the universe.

Eventually, in his thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, hundreds of millions year depression, these comets were whittled down into smoothened shapes. One shone bright white, and around it always was a whooshing sound. Another glowed dark blue. The third illuminated an ominous red, the fourth a hearty green, and the fifth a stormy grey. And as if by fate, one unknown day, these five comets slammed into each other, erupting into bouts of light, the power contained within spilled out, as did wisps of fog - white for the first, blue for the second, red for the third, green for the fourth, and grey for the fifth. Such a commotion, even far out in the depths of the void could draw out any creature. And so the Elder God emerged from his wallow. He felt a connection to these wisps of fog. He realized that they were eventually to overthrow him. Binding the power of these comet fragments to his own, he created the Chains of Karma, which dictate Time and Fate. He gave these wisps, intelligences, form in the void, but only so that he may bind them. To monitor them, he gave them each name; white as “Wind, Orbijan”, blue as “Water, Andro”, red as “Fire, Rakatok”, green as “Earth, Malak, and, finally, grey as “Storm, Noxkii”.

And as such had just passed the Elder God’s first mistake; he had committed unspeakable evil upon the newformed Gods, the first Reborn Pantheon. And such, the Chains of Karma, which dictate Time and Fate tangled, putting the Elder God out of favor in the judging eyes of Fate. To each new being, it granted powers, to Orbijan, the gift of Magicks, Prophecy, Illusion, and to it a new realm; the Aetherium, to Malak, the keys to Knowledge never-ending, Birth, Life, and Kindness, to Noxkii, Wrath, Might, War, and Power, to Rakatok, the Darkness, Death, the Void, and life-after-death. Lastly, to Andro, Time, Creation, Kingship, and Leadership.

And to the New Gods it spoke;

“All hail Andro, king of kings, Rakatok-worldkiller, claimer of souls, Noxkii, mighty storm, Malak, giver of life, Orbijan, prophet of prophets.”

And in response shouted the New Gods;

“All hail Andro, king of kings, Rakatok-worldkiller, claimer of souls, Noxkii, mighty storm, Malak, giver of life, Orbijan, prophet of prophets.”


And with their new found powers, they fashioned words, words of power, words with the power to shape reality, and they bound their wills to it, testing each one;

“Korama Sroe!” they shouted in unison “Unfettered Force”, and their subject flew off,

“Markarthi Karambasta!” and a great maelstrom formed over their heads, “Great Storm”,

“Karthwaal Staadnav!” and bouts of fire and frost rained down from heaven above, “God’s Wrath”!

And thus was born the words of power.

And thus was born the art of war.

And so the Gods, Staadnav went to war against the Elder God.

Armed with their incantations, armed with patience, and armed with motivation waged war against the Elder God.

And in the last moments of Eternity, the Elder God lay defeated, dying out. As his brethren prepared to stab him,

“Wait!”, Andro cried, “If we are to kill him, we are to become him. Spare him so that we do not fall down the same path.”.

And so they did, and with their combined force they banished him to the farthest, most intimate nook of Oblivion, to a world beyond and outside of Time, unable to ever return. But before they did, they provided him a simple honour;

“What is your name, Elder God?” asked Andro, to which the Elder God replied

“Val-korion. Ghostcaller.” the Elder God said,

“Then it shall be remembered; the Elder God Valkorion!” Andro proclaimed

. And with peace at last, the gods convened and created plans for a new world, with new people; Mallakorstenjan, ‘Everlasting Man’. And so the gods created each their own corner of Creation, Andro created Androzaan and its inhabitants, Noxkii, the sky and weather, Orbijan, the Soul Forge in the new Aetherium, which created the inhabitants of Androzaan, Malak, the means to populate the earth, and Rakatok, the life-after-death.

And afterwards, each god inspired in the hearts of men the strength to build 5 great citadels; Andro instructed the mountain-men of the East to build Mallakar, “Eternal City” surrounded by sea and cliff, Orbijan instructed the tundra-men of the North to build Mindoraan, “Frost Land” surrounded by frost and cold, Malak instructed the forest-men of the Center to build Esdel “Summer Forest” surrounded by pine and river, Rakatok instructed the plains-men of the south to build Karamie “Tribute” surrounded by tombstone and history, Noxkii instructed the mountain-men of the North to build the Great Temple of Noxkii surrounded by sky and treacherous mountain.

And thus was born the legend of the Ghostcallers Val-korion.
