I'd like to see more conflict in the story that takes place in the present, right now everything is just lore about what happened in the past, and it doesn't really affect what you do in quests aside for a few cases of fighting random beasts from the corruption, and doing stuff in finding the light. it makes you feel like Bob is the protagonist, and you're just some random person that gets to do chores for everyone in the world, if there was a conflict you were actively solving throughout the game (so a story progression), that'd be great

Puzzles. Witty dialogue. Actual personality and banter to make NPCs seem like characters rather than generic filler (Looking at you, King of Troms. Bitch gets threatened by an evil multi trillion dollar company and he has his own panic room yet he just spouts some generic evil dialogue instead of being a complete mental wreck.) Reoccurring characters that develop over time. The option to skip cutscenes. Utilize the Void, Deaths realm and the Light Realm in more than one quest. Like, how cool would it be if Death gave you a bunch of mini side quests to track down escaped souls, a la Cuphead? It’d give a lore relevant reason to remember the realm rather than just “why not?”, and would potentially allow for some awesome gimmicky minibosses.

I'd like some more quests in certain areas, even if that area is lower leveled. For example, we have one or three quests in a certain area, and then it's like we never visited that area before; that area is just forgotten.

Anything simple I would have suggested already has been, and to be honest most of the things I want to see change about the story telling is alot bigger then just the quest. Overall lore, dialog, and while the main quest isn't even out, I'm going to take a wild guess and say I would change that aswell.

I realize you probably can't change any of that, but sense anything you can change has already been articulated, I'm just stating how I feel I suppose.

flashbacks are a really lazy way of showing story and wynn does it way too much, if they were to show how it happened they should find a smarter method of storytelling

at least its better than ging through 15 pages of dialogue tbh i agree that its lazy but hey, its the best way to do it without people getting bored through dialogue.

again, you're being close minded. dialogue and flashbacks are in fact not the only way to give a player story

Might just be me but I really like quests that have you return to previous areas, like how Jungle Fever has you go back to Almuj. It makes the world feel more cohesive and gives a reason to backtrack.

Also name an NPC after me thanks.

I'd like to see more quests similar to "The Hunger of Gerts pt. I and II" where the same story is presented from opposite points of view. It was really refreshing to go from "listen, you are the good guy, now go and blast those big bad mobs to pieces" or "listen, here is this super obvious puzzle, I bet you can't solve it" or "look at this dumbass willing to pay 5 emeralds for you to do some stupid task" to "let's switch the roles, shall we?". Of course, there are other quests where you join the bad guys' side for 5 seconds but the goals are not so sublime (Kingdom of Sand bandits' part), or the opposite side is literally just putting the words in your mouth (Aldorei's Secret pt. II) and give you no choice but to accept it, unlike here where you're helping ease starvation, dang, something to fight for. Ergo, it would be nice to see more of these types of quests in the future.

I would like to see some later game (level 80+) quests back in Wynn. After you defeat Bob, there's no significant reason (except for hanging around WC1 Detlas) to travel back there, even with free fast travel. As mentioned earlier, going back to Detlas and Almuj during Jungle Fever was nice and helped the world feel a bit more connected. Perhaps the same could be done for late game Gavel quests taking you back to the province's starting towns.

I feel like the Void Islands should be explored way more than in just a single quest. The deepest part of the Void that we were able to reach has already shown itself to be teeming with different species at one specific point below Ahmsord. Now imagine at a hundred different elevations expanding through the entirety of the land beneath the Sky Islands.

I'd love to see more quests within the void. or just relating to the void itself.

have quests that take a certain profession level to do and have them give you profession xp like (You need to be lvl 75 tailoring to do this quest)

have quests that show you're impact on the world, like if some city burns down, burn down the city and have the player walk through it and witness the destruction first hand, the quest frost bite does a good job on this but there is a flaw with that section, there are too many mobs and they distract and occupy you from taking in the atmosphere, if there were little mobs in that section it would make it feel different from before, you're usually just focused on killing mobs so you don't die, but if there weren't any here we would have a chance to take in our surroundings and think more about our impact on the world, but maybe it was necessary because the corrupt were invading the village I don't quite remember but it may have been justified in that setting

areas that are blocked off on level, like a cave or some structure in the ragni plains that requires you to be level 10 to enter (temple of legends does a good job at this), this is where you could use really cool builds and stuff to intrigue the player and give them a reason to want to level up and a goal to achieve, right now the only way a player can see what areas and builds they will see in higher levels is by entering those areas and getting killed because its too hard if they are not on level, therefore they don't get to get a real peek at what lies ahead or have a reason to want to level up and keep playing in that regard so they can unlock all of that

any form of companion or ally to fight along with, they can be super weak just anything to make you not feel so alone while adventuring and it would make the world feel less empty (not that the world was all that empty) this has been said a million times I know

have parts of the map with faction wars between mobs, rodoroc does this really well, its so interesting to watch different mobs fight each other and being able to help one side defeat the other is so entertaining, out of all of my suggestions this is probably the easiest one to do because you just have to make 2 different mobs aggro to each other

    My thoughts
1: More multi part quest lines. While alot of shorter quests are really fun and engaging quests that are multi part give the player something to look forward to and motivation when leveling.

2: Remade/more engaging low level quests. A lot of lower level quests are just kinda lacking in narrative. To me it feels alot quests are somewhat dull in terms of involvement (alot of fetch quests) and I think it could be cool to see some fun two part quests or more lore based fun quests earlier in the game rather than waiting until the level 60+ range for them.

3: Quest items being good would be very nice. I'd love to see quests reward the player with armors that where considerably strong rather than just average use for two levels throw out type

thats off the top of my head so idk I'll probablyhave more later

Replace Eye of the Storm with a level 70-80 dungeon quest and a dungeon. Also this will be a lot better corrupted dungeon than FF because of bigger level gap.
