I think the 2 Envoy quests, and Kings recruit are my least favorite quests and the biggest example of what i dont like in quests, im sure i dont need to go into specifics about why kings recruit is bad, i think a ton of people have made it clear, but generally long, unskippable dialog, forcing players to go so where with out allowing exploration or literally any player interaction, is just a bad way to design a quest

I feel more connections to other quests, like doing a certain quest is not needed for the quest, but the npc's could have histories together, wether that be hate or friendship, changing the outcome/reward of the quest.

Quite frankly this is probably not the right place to say this but daily/weekly quests would be cool to see in Wynncraft, perhaps done through Mini-Quests added in 1.18 for lesser explored areas. Maybe completing 100 dailies of the same quest gets you a unique pet or something, that would be interesting to me.

More quest that requires multiple people to complete, similar to ???. But make the rewards actually worth it for the amount of brain cell you will lose from working with strangers.

It would be cool if there were community quests like a contest where the community has to make a quest for a specific region and the winner would be inside the quest as an Easter egg.

I’d like some more ocean quests, ik it’s a bit boring having to travel the ocean but perhaps: going to the past to see the taming of the ocean and helping the mages. Big maybe

Regarding quest plotlines - they either need to be better if they're serious, or too silly to be taken seriously. D&D is a good example - the plot is serious, and just good enough that you can realize it's actually a pretty mediocre plot by any standards other than Wynncraft quest standards.

More than two choices would amazing, assuming it's possible to do.

Failing a quest or getting a bad ending would be interesting, but at the end of the day I think the biggest thing a multi-path quest needs to accomplish is having equal rewards depending on the outcome. If the good outcome gives you 1LE and the bad outcome gives you 0, then players would probably feel cheated depending on what you get. Having the quest give you no money but a lot of XP would be the optimal reward for quests that you can "fail", at least in my opinion.

I think having a few more - not all, mind you, starting NPCs in lower-level areas could be interesting. I fondly recall my first trip to Selchar and seeing the starting NPC for The Envoy, and the anticipation I had for the quest when I hit level 83 was immense because I had known about the quest for so long (and in my opinion, the Corkus quests were some of the best in-game). Speaking of corkus - I feel the area is vastly underused. We're looking at an area just under half the size of Wynn and it has a grand total of 3(?) quests. The theme of robots vs humans is perhaps a little cliche, although I enjoy the more futuristic/steampunky aesthetic and music.

One other thing I think that quests could have is more interlinkage between quests, ala the Quest-Series we have today. I feel the extended length of the quests really helps with having better character arcs and story arcs than shorter quests.

A further thing I think quests could expand on, although this is a big ask, is choices in quests. The most we have currently is with the Aldorei's Secret quest-line, and the Iron Heart quest-line. Personally, I think if we had quests which had branching paths, that would be amazing! One downside I can see, however, is the fact that one may need to play many classes to get a full experience. This could perhaps be solved by a "Reset Quest" feature, wherein one does not get rewards the second time around playing - although, with quest items, I can see this being difficult to implement.

Just a few of my thoughts on the matter. Happy to answer questions and get feedback!

Personally, my favorite aspect of quests are the puzzles, especially the newer ones that get really interesting (Like the new wynn excavation site B). I'd like to see more puzzles in quests

What I never want to see again are quests like The Lost and The Canyon Guides; any quest that forces an NPC to follow you for a long period of time is not going be fun, especially if they glitch out (which they always do); and quests like The Lost are just unplayable (at least to me)

Remove the necessary multiplayer needed for bob's tomb/reincarnation. It's an annoyance overall and nobody likes wasting their time getting 2 other people to open it. These types of quests are annoying and you're locking behind good rewards (good grindspot and weapons) behind forced multiplayer.

Interesting storylines that take the game's lore and our understanding of it to new places and that are connected somehow, even if subtly. I love when the game tells a story through a quest. Quests like Wynnsite D, The Fortuneteller, Taproot, Finding the Light, One Thousand Meters Under, Aldorei's Secret questline, The Hunger of Gerts questline, Purple and Blue, etc, all tell an interesting story that ties into other areas of the game. You learn more about the game and not just the quest as you do them. I think more quests should be modelled after that idea, and a quest should not just be about itself but about the bigger picture where possible. Those are the kind of quests that turn Wynncraft into a unique experience for me. I think quests that deeply tie into the lore and the game are good, and I'd love to see more of that in the future because it makes a quest much easier to do and it makes the server as a whole more interesting. Also as some people have mentioned recurring characters could help in this. Reading about the game and the lore isn't the same as experiencing it. The quests mentioned above let you experience it. They build on the game and the lore. The Dwarves and Doguns questline tied into the lore which I like, but I think the quests weren't good in other areas. But that kind of stuff is a step in the right direction in my opinion, or a good building block for a quest. It just has to be executed well and Wynn has generally executed those kind of quests well.

the quests should be more interwoven and connected to each other, but I guess that's for the main storyline which is coming... some day?

what I meant was that it would be structured like a progressing dungeon, with enemies as challenges throughout the floor, it could be gauntlets or just enemies scattered around to provide a challenge as you solve puzzles or do challenges, and at the end of every floor, there would be a boss room
