What Do You Think About Hypixel Skyblock?

I just watched this Video and it Looks like a lot of fun :>
but i dont how the gamemode exactly works…
any experience?

 

I've just started a few days ago, and I've had lots of fun with it. It's quite enjoyable to play, if you're super bored definitely give it a shot. I've had no previous experience with Hypixel skyblock or even Hypixel and I've gotten quite comfortable with the game mechanics in a couple / few days of playing it.

Bonus Thingy:

Magma Armour Hypeee! I actually took this screenshot yesterday, and I currently have the Magma Helmet and Boots. Now all I gotta do is get the chestplate and leggings, and I shall become a Hypixel speedy boi :D

I find very fun that the island is probably the least relevant part of the game
They should just do a MMORPG and give some fight to Wynn

 

I don't really like it, techno's "The hypixel skyblock expierience" just about says everything I'd say about it

 

Not a huge fan, it really doesn't grip me and every time I play I get bored or frustrated

 

very grindy, but in a pointless feeling way.

 

Sorry if I'm bumping this thread. I tried skyblock last night on Hypixel. And really I dont like it. I find Wynn more enjoyable and more grindable. And a lot harder especially with the new modes out now (Hardcore, etc.)

 

I've played a lot of it. A LOT. Tonight I should have the best bow in the game, already have a golem sword. Its as grindy as grinding for lvl 104. Thats basically the game in a nutshell, imagine grinding for lvl 104 but you can only do professions and grinding mobs (no dungeons quests or any of the fun stuff). I say this yet I've hit half a million in my bank and I'm aiming for 15mil (300k is the max interest you can get per season and the interest is 2% so 15mil should give me max interest).

Overall it depends on what you prefer, combat or breaking a ton of blocks (im talking millions).

 

it's basically Wynncraft but way more grinding and less lore, but it is pretty fun ngl

it came out like 1.75 months ago so the early to end game isnt that long

 

I await the day when the skyblockers run out of things to do, and a mass exodus of people come sailing to the Wynn Province on boats.

 

I've played it and I'm enjoying quite the bit so far, although I'm 100% sure I'll hit burnout on it.
Like Techno said its basically Wynncraft and I agree with that.

One major different though
Skyblock's grind is fucking insane compared to Wynncraft's

 

wynn is boring after u get to lvl 100

 

If I’m being honest. I had my fun with the first couple of days. Then it just started to feel kinda repetitive. Grind, grind, and grind. Yeah, I’m aware that in Wynncraft you also grind quite a bit. But compared to skyblock’s grinding. Holy shit, the grinding in skyblock takes like 2 years.

 

if it were a standalone game, it would be terrible, the only reason it's this successful is thanks to the fact that the game is part of Hypixel.

there is too much grind, grind is basically filler, meaningless "content", acting as a timesink instead of an actual thing to do, with meaning. no story involved, no meaning, all you do is walk around and break blocks but 100000 times. You are not being engaged, you are doing it because you think it is out of necessity, rather than a real compelling to, their anti-afk system basically flips a big fat middle finger at the original purpose of skyblock, to innovate and create new machines, even the minions require grind. you can't play the game without grinding.

the best way to enjoy it would be to think of it as a subpar idle game rather than an MMO, and rely on your minions exclusively as well as a plethora of alt accounts to circumvent the minion cap (which sole purpose is to prevent you from avoiding grinding manually lmao). its too grindy to be considered one, imo.

some of the people who defend grind say grind is sometimes good, as you have things to do and you don't get bored quickly. that is an extremely flawed argument, why not create real content instead of creating a giant low effort timesink? saying grind is sometimes good is like saying trash is sometimes good, trash is only good when it is inside a bin.

 

well I mean you could spend time decorating your island and stuff but other than that it's afk grinding/non-afk grinding/WAITING FOR THAT LAST SUMMONING EYE
