[d&d] Masin Campaign [full]

Place my hands into my coat and shuffle uneasily.

 

"Ew... yeah, they do have a point."

"But, going back to the weapons. We got a pen waiting inside, can't we just destroy it now?"

 

"They're indestructible by any means while souls are trapped within. Only the god himself can erase them."
The red cloak turns back to the town.
"Do you think you can assist me in killing that demon in the tavern, to test if our theory is correct?"

"That could've been an option. This campaign we're attempting to muster up wouldn't have ever happened had you all died."

 

“What, again?”

 

"Campaign? Just who exactly are you? Who is "we"?"
I take a couple of deep breaths.
"Actually... Are you by any chance familiar with the name... 'Aurelius Ivaear'?"

 

"I thought we killed it?"

 

Piplue flinches when he calls us criminals

 

"The souls that were in the pen before the waiter touched them possessed him. You killed him and the souls possessing him, merely trapping them in the pen once more. What we need to do, or what I believe is the solution, is to destroy the item while those souls are out, possessing someone new. Does that make sense? That would be finally killing them."

"I have no idea who might claim such a name. Who do you think I am?"

 

"He is someone close to me who wishes to fight those who worship the chained god, and I wondered if you were in league with him. He brought me here with him so he could buy time to find a way to defeat a powerful cultist he was unable to without having to worry about my safety. It seems the time is up, though."

 

"So, we've got to re-fight that fucker, and somehow swipe and destroy the pen mid-combat?"

 

"Remember, the pen became a sword. You destroy that, you can kill them all."
The red cloak begins walking with the determined, business-like stride. He calls out:
"I say 'we' but really I would like to help you all help me. Let us go back."

 

I quickly stride ahead of Red, heading back to the tavern.

 

"I agree that it's necessary to destroy that thing while we have the chance..."

"...though I should note that I'm wounded, if anyone has anything they can do about that."

I re-activate Summoned Armor.

EDIT: I also re-charge a spell slot using my Rod of the Pact Keeper

 

"Just let me get hit first. I can take it."
I suggest as I stomp off.

 

”I have a nifty little spell that allows me to grab things, I wonder if it will be of use.”
To demonstrate, I pull a dagger out of my boot and throw it up in the air, and catch it with an invisible mage hand (Arcane Trickster)

 

Piplue:"I have some healing magic itd not much but it will help"

I lay a hand on your back and cast cure wounds as a 2nd level spell

7+5+4= 16 hp

Piplue pulls out his baton and heads back inside

 

"Thank you. It will do."

 

I slap my hand on your shoulder.
"It'll be fine. Although you should probably leave now if demon hunting doesn't sound like your thing."

 

Once everyone's back in the tavern:
The red cloak hurries over to the pen.
"I suggest you all stay back at the entrance. Are you ready?"

 

"Ready." I affirm.
