I would like to be more specific but I have no idea what I can and cannot do in terms of actions like training, fighting monsters, buying things, etc and what I need to include when I make my action

 

You can do pretty much anything you want, as long as its logical (e.g. head out the Troms gate to look for monsters near the Bridge, look for a merchant selling armor, train my army in weight-lifting so they can become stronger)

Can I split my army to do things like,
send some of them to go looking for monsters from troms gate to the dungeon entrance. And send some of them training in military tactics

Yes, but your AS would be split, so one half would deal half the damage in a battle, and the other half would get half the rewards of training.

"I don't know a place but..." The sailor anchors the ship for a while and heads below deck. He comes back up with a variety of metals.

"Maybe you could get an anvil or a crafting table to craft these materials to form a nice Climbing Helmet (+3 HP)?"

 

"That's a good idea thanks. Now to only find a crafting table or anvil."

 

I shall patrol starting from the entrance at Troms to the great bridge and then to the jungle village looking for monsters.
