    Imagine being gangbanged by an entire herd of 10000k hp enemies who do 3k damage and dying because of how unfair it is then having to wait up to 24 minutes because you dont want to lose your items

    This is what I'm afraid of in this poll, people only see "with this change you won't lose items anymore" and vote "I'M ALL FOR IT" without realizing this is not about that, this is about making a huge change in the current item system that will affect the gameplay of everyone in a way that we didn't see since Gavel (correct me if I'm wrong, I only started playing again 2 years ago)

    It will be a big change, in fairly certain the thread says it will change the rate at which items will drop from you inventory, not remove it enterly.

    ...I'm not sure, like in some parts it says that, but then:

    If items still drop, how can this prevent losing all your items if you are afk and keep dying? eventually you would lose everything
    This seems like instead of losing them, you would find them with 0 durability...


    EDIT: Either way, I think some people votes "Yes" just for the change on losing items on death....

    I mean, I think thats why post people are voting yes. The idea of an easier game seems appealing.

    I just want to make sure, but you'd be able to repair regular items correct? also, it would be nice if both crafted and regular items that hit 0 durability become a "broken" unusable variant of the weapon/armor that can then be repaired. (if thats a feature already im sorry, i dont use crafted weapons)

    I'm currently neutral on this topic but my opinion would change if it's stated that any item acquired from <1.18 would have durability or not

    Alright, let me give my thoughts.
    I haven't been on since the Market went down the first time, so forgive me if I'm a bit rusty.

    >"Every item gets durability by default, but it never drops down unless you die. We would also heavily reduce the drop rate % chance when dying to make death not overly punishing. The rest of the system would stay the same, except maybe some number adjustment for repair cost."

    This is good, however I believe the following changes should be made...
    1. Mythics and Legendary items should not have durability and preferably never drop. They are items from legends and myths, so how can they possibly get damaged? I suppose Legendary items could be affected, but certainly not Mythics.
    2. Special items such as Seekers Aid, Mama Zomble's Memory, Santa Hat/Pants/Boots, Pumpkin Helmet, Hallowynn Mask, etc. should not have durability and preferably never drop.

    Can't think of anything else right now.

    I support your ideas on this one, but I would like to add that quest items and dungeon/untradable items should not have durability and also not drop

    what im saying is with how unfair some of the encounters are in quests dying shouldnt have such a big penalty. You die once its whatever but you die 2 more times you're losing some of your items. Thats why its best to wait for your sp to refill which can take 24 minutes at most(day/night cycle is 24 minutes long). It shouldn't be so severe since waiting for sp fucking sucks but since the system is how it is you HAVE to wait

    also wtf every time you die your weapon loses durability? i mean i doubt people will be dying up to 1k times but certainly it would be a worrying situation and with how much you push this economy update up our asses im sure the higher tier gears will require higher tier materials. Which means we would be railroaded into using the eco update which is honestly most likely your plan all along

    What do you mean by higher tier gear requiring higher tier materials? All you need to repair items is scrap, which you can get from any weapon/armor.

    idk, most likely referring to crafted items or smthn. which as you go along they'll most likely require higher level mats

    I was at first, going to mention a number of reasons why I believe this is not the best choice, but first I would like to know from someone on the team if this really does include items that are not crafted (sets, commons, uniques, rares, legends, and mythics).

    I really hope this was a typo or something, and not the end of the poor glass builds on my mage and archer.
