Piplue flies up and hits oblvion in thr side of the head with a loud CRACK of bone and elctricity

 

The thunderous sound of the blow breaks a crack in the Oblivion's stone-like skull. The demonic titan slumps itself forward, its head laying on the hilt of the sword forced into the wooden floor.

Without a word, the transformation reverts; dark shards flake away in specks of nothingness, spiraling up and into small shreds of darkness. The waiter lays dead, bleeding and mutilated beyond recognition.
The pen turned lethal broadsword has returned to a seemingly regular writing instrument. It is still stuck in the floor as it was before. It is burnt and shredded, smoking at the end stood up from the wooden boards.

Everyone becomes level 6 (14,000 xp) and the encounter is over.

 

I immediately run over to the corpse and beat it into the ground to the point in which it's hard to recognize as a corpse.

 

I retract my helmet and walk towards the now-brutalized corpse.

My jaw clenches a bit as I regard it. "... probably a poor omen, to say the least. And that's without considering the... other... things I saw."

 

I give the pile of meat and calcium a final, solid whack.
“...I’m not entirely sure what you mean, but I’m inclined to agree.”

 

"... it was waiting for me, for Hells' sake. What has Masin come to, if this thing could lay an ambush in a place like this?"

 

My character pulls out a chair and sits down, taking off his hat to run a hand through his hair. While doing this, you also see his coat - wasn’t it black, not brown? Lift up in front of his face. His hands definitely seem pale, though it’s probably stress from the fight.
Though when blinking a few times, this all seems to be gone.

 

The man stumbles back to the bar. Shakily, he raises his glass to his lips. He wasn't scared. He's cool. Everyone else seems cool. Yep. Everything's normal.
"So, this was- uh- Wow."
"This is... normal for you guys?"

 

”I’ve had some strange encounters, though I must say this is probably the strangest.”

 

All of a sudden, an ancient-looking tome bound in dark leather, covered in strange symbols, appears on the table where I'm sitting. After inspecting the book a bit, I put it in my backpack.

 

“Oh, you meant...”
I idly grind the paste into the ground more with my boot.
“Yeah. Do you even know what this was about?”

 

"Vaguely. I get the sense that the forces that thing served are approximately the antithesis of the ones I do."

 

"I have... Roughly the same suspicion... Well, it's hardly a suspicion anymore, the writing is on the wall..."
