"Well... it might have been a stun spell... perhaps Subconsciousness? That, to learn, requires lots of patience in meditating."

"Well! What an interesting life you must have!"

You go to the giant mushroom, and standing before its trunk, you realize actually how tall it is. Perhaps 30 meters? Surely it doesn't look easy to climb up the great mushroom tree; there must be another way...

You climb up to the second floor, where the marketplace is. Many peddler pirates are selling various items, but one catches your eye.

"Ahoy! I's selling combat supplies, perfect for a Zhightian commander such as you! care to see them?"

You head down to the lower level to ask some fishermen, as they would probably know best.

"Ahoy, commander!" You tell him about the Golden Fish. "Oh boy, that's a pretty rare catch. But your best bet would be to catch a Pufferfish, and then get some Gold Bar from a merchant, and then craft 'em together to get your Golden Pirate Fish!"

 

"How rare is this?"

 

I mutter to myself "if i travelled in time then maybe i can make other thing travel in time..." i look at the fruit a concetrate on making the stem of it travel ifurther in time so it falls

 

"How would you know I was Zhightian in the first place."

 

"I...didn't know that was how fish worked. Well, do you have any Pufferfish for sale?"

 

"I definitely don't know how he acquired it precisely, I haven't learned it either--but it's on my to-do list--and like I said, it would require high patience and... meditation. Wait. Did I say that before? Anyway, I don't think it would be too rare..."

You stare at the tantalizing red fruit you can just barely see peeking from the top of the giant mushroom. Suddenly, you feel yourself climbing up the mushroom with incredible ease and you pluck the fruit. Then you regain control of yourself and hand the fruit to Psilo IV. You are somewhat baffled.

"Thanks very much, human!"

Now that you are more aware of yourself, you feel you have gotten a little bit stronger, from the inside...

Subconsciousness has been upgraded to Subconsciousness II (stuns an enemy for one turn, and upon the next turn, they will deal 20% less damage).

Blue Battle Sage has 32/32 HP and 64 AS, and has learned Subconsciousness II.

"Forgive me, I o'erheard your conversation with a man named Robert..."

"Sorry lad, not at the moment. But, I's got a Fishing Rod I can give ye so ye can catch yer own fish!"

Robert has 14/25 HP and 27 AS, and has acquired Fishing Rod.

As Nozomi/Tsu said, this game really has issues on balancing, since AS numbers are almost triple HP numbers, so it would be one-hit kill in a PvP situation. does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (because I'm dumb and can't think of a solution)

when you train not only train AS but a bit of HP. or doing an action to train HP

Imo. Hp should always be at least equal your AS, unless you're playing a glass cannon ish thing. :L

Also dodge chance. That way, whoever goes first won't have a guarenteed win.

 

There could be 3 training methods. train HP, train Both and Train HP.
Training both at the same time gives less then if you would train 1

Unless it's a suprise attack or if they're stunned

should dodge chance be 50% of AS, a different percentage, or a totally different stat? (I don't like the third option tbh)

you could already do this, anything you can do in this game is pretty open-ended.

"Arr, yes! Here is what I's got!" He shows you a variety of stylized hooks and harpoons.

Old Pirate Hook (+3 AS)
Fancy Pirate Hook (+5 AS)
Iron Harpoon (+10 AS)
Corkian Harpoon (+20 AS)

"I's be warning ye, lad, that one man's already lookin' for the price to pay me for that Corkian Harpoon. I believe ye know him already."

You are in a calm section of the forest and you investigate the spirit. It looks like a pure white ball emitting light, but it looks wounded in some parts...

Imaxe paces around the room. "Hm..." He then runs up to his attic and pulls out a dusty book.

"'On the Negation and Counters of Electromagic' by Maxie. Perfect!" He hands you the book. "Perfect!"

Tsu has 24/26 HP and 78.6 AS, and has acquired Negation of Electromagic (book).

50% of AS seems okay (although what we do when someone farms up to 200 AS? .-.)
Max 80 or 95% dodge chance?

How much money do i have

 

better idea the 50% of the differance between AS for the one with the highest and 15% diffrence for the lowest
Example. I have 100AS opponent has 70AS, the differance is 30AS so 15% chance to for me and 7,5% for the opponent

 

That's alot of math. :L
And I guess that makes combat alot better between people with high AS, we also don't need to worry about having a cap, as you'll have to have 200 more AS than your opponent.
Also, did you mean 50% and 25%?

(About the AS thing, couldn't you make it so that at a certain level of AS, attacks will have to target AS before hitting HP?
+you could also then add stuff that pierces through AS)

 

That's actually a very interesting way of doing it.
But how would it all be calculated?
