Even with no effort,Braker is just a weaker Hive spear. With some thought, it becomes very strong. Meanwhile, Ignition is usually ignored in favor of Diaminar, and for good reason.

You got Black right, I'll give you that, but the list starts to go down hill after you put Gale's Force in A-tier, when it's comparable to the hive weapons, and might even be considerably better than hive bow for archer because of it's relation with air. In fact I believe a lot of this list doesn't reflect what the current meta is, but what silly "builders" think is good and what not. Such as Shajaea being ranked at all, or giving Stinger A-tier ranking. Super slow melee as archer is dreadful, the arrow travels incredibly slow making it already hard to hit, and even harder to hit in lag. As well, the dps is subpar for a melee oriented build, not to mention it cannot reach the 10k bomb average. I understand people see certain builds in wynndata and think it's alright, but it's not reflective for use in-game.

If I were to rearrange the list, I would not rank a majority of weapons that you've ranked because of how niche they are, and I would also suggest being more thoughtful of the items you do rank.

 

Air Hive beats Gale's Force on damage with no adjustment of build, in addition to the extra mana regen. We specifically tested this after people brought it up. I agree that Stinger melee is relatively subpar (although you're discounting the 20-25k Quakes damage), but a hybrid build sacrifices very little melee damage in exchange for bombs just under 10k with good sustain. I would also like to note that Gale's Force doesn't typically reach 10k bombs (it's usually better to go slightly under, in exchange for better sustain).

 

I'm curious, what do non-silly builders like you, of course, think what is good? This list was made, checked and argued on by multiple experienced (and obviously) silly builders on Discord, so I do wonder what kind of incredible eye-opening insights you have compared to them.

Class builders will sometimes (note sometimes, not always) prefer creativity over practicality, as Parzizal has stated. For example, skill pots are one of the most practical ways of going about playing Wynn, but (generally speaking) most class builders will discourage the use of these pots because it makes the game easier than it already is, making things (such as Cataclysm, which becomes ridiculously busted when using a defense+agility pot) a lot better than they actually are. However, I will say I agree with most of this list in terms of actual use in game.

I like using Infidel in all, but I don't see how it could reach B tier (assuming the ranking is something like S is meta, A is great, B is good, C is average, D is meh, and F is hot garbage). In theory it has a decent damage output but the sheer range of it's damage makes it actually pretty meh in the damage department, even with it's good piercing capabilities. The mana steal and super slow for tier stacking if you really want to is nice, but it easily gets outclassed by other hybrid, spell, and melee weapons alike. It should be at most C tier imo.

Cascade imo should be moved up to B tier, but I can see why it would be in C tier. Cascade absolutely annihilates enemies with elemental weaknesses, and, since most enemies have at least one in the late game, this makes it a solid pick. The only problem with it is it's piercing against any elemental defenses, in particular those with rainbow defenses, but the raw spell stacking you can do with it comes in handy outside of against something like Qira.

I believe Overgrown is a very underrated weapon. Sure, it's not Hive earth levels of good or anything, but it should be in at least C tier. Earth damage is very successful at pierce damage thanks to it's raw power and pretty limited damage range. You can use it pretty safely in a basic spell build with no real major drawbacks https://wynndata.tk/s/QADOni outside of maybe a lack of agility.

There's a few others I disagree with, but like Cascade I could see them going either way, so it's whatever.

 

I think you just about have me convinced about Overgrown in C but I'm not 100%. What do you think is the weakest wand in C right now?

I'd need to test Cascade a bit more. (pls dukio give us ele def meters). Likewise with Infidel. I would like to note, however, that larger damage variability is more effective at piercing (easiest to show with a graph but I'm nowhere near a computer rn).

 

Probably Whimsy. A unique called Cyclone is basically the same power level as it with less elemental weakness abuse.

That is true, but when I've used Infidel the piercing really isn't that noticeable.

i can see it's still not good (always some tradeoff, low damage for earth/thunder), but imo not f tier also it has cool thorns like heura!!!

 

these are some gamer builds, but i think you're forgetting the most important part of brass brand and why it's better than people might think: it's not meant to be a main attacking weapon. with its 30 str/30 dex reqs and bringing its own thunder dmg % it's actually a really good secondary dagger for abusing/avoiding elemental defenses.
