I ask my soldiers if they need a rest. If they say no I go back to Aldorei, if they do i let them rest and go when they are ready

 

Compared to what you just faced, the villagers of Maltic are much more kind-hearted, and one willingly gives you a Rusted Bronze Helmet (+3 HP).

Traveling west to Katoa. Now, the Decrepit Sewers has had some slight zombie escape problem, so it seems much of Katoa's population must have fled to Ragni. But the Apple Merchant will sell you 2x Apple (Heals +3 HP) if you could...

I'm not going to tell you to fight off the beast that's probably lurking in there, but behind the sewers, there's a couple of levers that control the water supply to Katoa. I feel that someone's shut it off, or the zombies have. Could you please simply find the lever that connects to Katoa and turn it back on?" You have a slight feeling that this doesn't... feel right, but how hard could it be?

Just one battle with a treant has tired them, and you head back to Aldorei to let them rest for the night. You should go ahead and sleep too.

The government of Zhight, if it even is a government now, has split into several factions, one of which is yours. Currently, a bloody battle is taking place, and you are hiding along with your army. A ship from Selchar was also spotted.

 

I tell him that I'll look into it once my troops have rested in a local inn or in their cots with rotating patrols... (I don't wanna die)

"OF COURSE, OF COURSE. NOW, THE FACTORY ALWAYS PRODUCES, THANKS TO SOME ACTUALLY CARING HUMANS UNLIKE THOSE... STUPIDHEADS 400 YEARS AGO. BECAUSE OF THIS, PLEASE TURN TO YOUR RIGHT TO RECEIVE A FREE SHIPMENT OF MECHS, FROM MYSELF."

A door opens to your right, and is full of deactivated robots.

"I WISH YOU COULD HAVE ALL OF THEM, BUT THERE ARE OTHER COMMANDERS OUT THERE, AS WELL. PLEASE TAKE ONLY THREE AND GET LO--PLEASE LEAVE."

A cleaning bot appears and ushers you out the main door.

It takes a very long five minutes, then the beacon suddenly lights up. An opening in the cave leads straight down. You jump.

"Well, who invited you here, Blue Battle Sage?" Kaeli IV speaks.

You are slightly embarrassed, then you start talking about Likeru IV's meeting.

"Hm. Okay. You went all the way to Efilim and I'm guessing he thought you weren't worthy enough? At least he still trusts us after... what has happened." Daxand IV says.

"We'll think about it. But since you are not technically authorized to be here, please exit through the door to your left..." Lucri IV says.

You feel slightly let down, but you exit to your left.

Everyone seems calm and doing their stuff, until you notice an elderly man trying to heave a gigantic block of wood to his house. You ask him if he needs help.

"Well, duh! Of course I do!" He wipes some sweat off his forehead "Sorry, this work has made me a bit crabby. Sure, I could appreciate if you took this huge wood block to my house. I'm a wood collector you see. Please don't think that's messed up."

 

I walk back to the apple merchant explaining that i'll be back tomorrow because I think that the sewers would be pretty hard without some training and asking around.
