I'm really new to Wynncraft, but have been using most of my spare time playing. Sure, I go and do quests and such, but what I really enjoy most about this server is the vast expanse of the map and how much there is to explore!

I've spent at least 60% of my online time just climbing the mountains and reaching places that no one else bothers to go. And what really gets me is that there are all these little details around this world. Wynncraft is more than just a map, but rather it has a life to it.

I find abandoned tents and loose crates in a far off hidden alcove, there are little areas of unique and specifically designed terrain, and worn crumbling structures dotted all about. More than half of which serve no game play purpose and are only there for decoration, decoration that will never be seen by most, as it is out of the way and there is no reason for anyone to search them out.

It's beautiful and a bit sad. So many cool things to see that aren't utilized...Sometimes I wish I could just claim one of the abandoned locations as my own, and have it so when I die, I respawn there...but oh well.

Really, I just wanted to say that the work put into this world is amazing, and deserves so much praise to those who have worked on it.

Yeah, it's amazing how detailed the whole map is! Every area seems like it could have some sort of story to it, even if there's no loot or anything there.

Keep on exploring, I don't want to spoil anything but there are definitely some good reasons later in the game to stray off the main path.

there are also secret discoveries, which might require you to do some things (like pressing a button or repairing something) to find them

Yeah it really is a shame that the map is a cluttered wasteland with just enemies and unutilized locations. The build team is really talented, and a lot of their work goes to waste.

You might be surprised just how many people stray off the main roads to find those hidden and secluded spaces. There have been many community search quests in the past to find well-hidden areas of the map, such as Gale's Tomb, Ohms' Lab, the Clock Mystery, and most of all, the ??? Quest.

The ??? Quest? I keep seeing that mentioned in shouts and such, what is it? I'm guessing it might be something along the lines of a quest that moves about locations? If so, that's really nifty.

The original premise was a quest with no information beyond a single starting clue and the restriction that it doesn't involve areas above level 80 - the community basically worked together for a few weeks to try and figure out how exactly the quest works.

The older threads in the ??? Hunt forums section are still around, if you want to see how people solved it: https://forums.wynncraft.com/forums/hunt.102/

??? is debatably the hardest quest in the game. Not because of its difficulty level, but because it requires 4 players to work simultaneously across the map from each other to achieve a common goal. It does award the best XP bonus (cosmic) set in the game, so it’s worth it
