Oof still dosen't work the new steps I actually was following already during the old instructions. perhaps it has to do with the map file I imported?

 

I dont know, I am using the newest version and did everything according to the steps in the instructions and it works for me.

 

Are you using stable or cutting edge? Cause I'm using the cutting edge version to prevent chest recording

The Canyon of the Lost really has more chests than i expected, everytime I think we found them all, more appear

 

I'm wondering if we haven't fully explored Sky Islands, it seems unexpectedly devoid of chests.

Also there's another one in CotL, est. position <320, 50, -4630> (can't log on to get the exact position because of connection lag). I keep forgetting to input that one.

 

I thought about that too but I can't seem to find any other chests in the various islands

Here I was thinking I'd have to input Waypoints with JourneyMap or something, nope. I have been saved lol. Thanks to everyone working on this!

 

Is the database currently updated? I've submitted 2 more chests a week ago and they're still not in the website map.

 

I tried this with Wynntills and it seems to not work. None of the chests appear on the map. Does it just not work right now or am I doing something wrong?

 

Database has just been updated. Sorry about the delay, I got really busy due to recently starting uni.

I don't think the wynntils waypoints work right now. Need someone to fact check me on that however, I don't use wynntils.

 

Yeah, I tried to import the waypoints into Wynntils and they don't show up. The only way I get them to show up on the map is by going to the chest. Idk of a way to be able to use the waypoints with the compass beacon. So, I am, also, using journeymap and I turn off wynntils map.

 

i just went through the dernel jungle and TOA area, none of the supposed loot chest showed up lmao

i hopped servers twice too, are you sure the map isn't bugged and the indicated coords with loot chests actually have loot chests

Hi, last I checked the coords should be accurate. The coords only lead to the entrance to the area (usually a short cave) where the chest is at. Do you have any examples of specific coordinates where there is no chest?

 

uh are there any instructions for downloading, maybe you could add an instructions link(maybe to a google doc). I'm trying to downloads for wynntils but idk how/where to unzip the file to...

 

If you open the wynntils_waypoints.zip file, there is a how_to_import_waypoints_to_minecraft.txt file. It contains the following:

To use the waypoints you need the Wynntils Mod. If you don't have the Wynntils Mod, install it first. If you have it installed, you can start with the following steps:

!!!WARNING: IMPORTING THESE WAYPOINTS WILL OVERWRITE AND DELETE CURRENT EXISTNIG WAYPOINTS!!!

1. Go to your .minecraft folder and enter the "wynntils" folder.

2. Enter the "configs" folder.

3. Enter the latest folder with the hash code name (has a name something like this: '5d0c8ef6fe6b4dc38f999da54bead338').

4. Copy the "map-waypoints.config" inside that folder, replace the old existing file if necessary.

5. Restart Minecraft and you are good to go.

Optional: Open Wynntils' settings (Default key:`P`) and click the apply button. This will back-up your waypoints in the cloud.

Since there are going to be more chests added as the time goes on, you will have to download the newest version and just repeat step 4.

As noted above tho, it does not appear to import. But, you maybe able to get it to work (if you do please let us other folks now how).
