Hello everyone, I am Jupiter (aka Rattigan), and I am a returning wynncraft player in the market for some advice.

Before I left in 2017, I had a level 45 warrior, but I don't know if I really felt passionate about it/knew what I was doing.

I have gotten back on recently, economy update sparked some interest, and I am playing assassin, which seems much more up my alley. High damage High speed .

Anyways the point of this thread is, I don't really know what I'm doing? Do u put all my points into dexterity? Do I half and half into strength? I like melee builds, but if spells will pump out more dps I would totally be okay to try it as well. Also good to mention I'm not rich, and honestly I'm not even looking for specific items; just an outline of what I should be doing: Stat and item ttype-wise.

Thank you if you trudged through all of that rambling! I would really appreciate some help, as I like Wynncraft, but just feel so overwhelmed/lost!

Well, I don't really know what level your assassin is at, but you won't really need a build until ~70, which (with a few small changes) can usually last until 90 or so, at which point you're really gonna have to take a look at what playstyle works best with you and what kind of stats you want to have.
Generally, you want to throw your skill points as much into intelligence as you can whilst still being able to wear armor suitabke for your level. I'd say you can stop at 68 (half mana cost), but you could check out the mana tables for specifics. After that agility is probably your best choice, even with assassins decent bulk.

If you are higher-level (90+), you mostly have a choice in between Black, Sitis and melee Flameshot Hilt, although daggers like Nona, Thrunda Ripsaw and Ivory are decent enough as well and hive dagger kek

tl;dr no need for build until 70 and after that it depends on your playstyle and preferences

quick tip if you're playing because of economy update: professions aren't worth it

I recommend having a look at Wynndata, it is a fan-made website for Wynncraft super useful for making builds.

Anyways, I am one of the believers that any level can benefit from a build, so I will take your challenge!

So High Damage and High Speed. If you want High Damage, typically we can pick a strong weapon with an element and boost up its specific element damage type, adding on to Melee Damage % and Spell Damage %. High Speed typically means Walk Speed, so may want to pick up some agility stuff as well.

Usually what I do when making builds, I pick the weapon first that I want to build upon, and then build around that weapon by boosting elemental defenses, add things I want, etc. Armor sets are also something good to base on as well, since it means you only have to pick less items.

At the end, I would first make sure I have enough stats points for all the item requirements, only then I would spread my points on other stats. If you happen to have Intelligence and spare skill points you might want to refer to https://www.wynndata.tk/mana/ to optimize your spells, otherwise you can put it on stats relating to your weapon for extra elemental damage.

Example Build, you can sort of follow my thought process:

At level 45, we have 90 skill points.

Kilij (This is an example of a pretty interesting weapon, as it contains a lot of powder slots, and has high Walk Speed, and Air and Earth Elements, generally Hard-Hitting and High Speed. High thorns sort of allows for a Cactus sort of build as well. If you know how damage works, the negative spell damage sort of neutralizes because of the Elemental Damage %) [Str 20, Agi 20]
For argument's sake, we will put 3 Earth IV Powders, and 2 Air IV Powders. In today's market price, this is only about 10 EB cost, but it increases a lot of DPS overall!

Snow Helmet (Since we have Snow Tunic, might as well get a bit more air damage. Also, free Spell Damage to counteract it)
Snow Tunic (Overall, Air Damage, and Free Mana Regen)
Sow Thistle (Has negative Walk Speed, but since we already have high amounts of Walk Speed from our weapons already, it is an okay sacrifice for the crazy amount of Earth Damage boost we get)
Seven-League Boots (Very High Walk Speed, Agility skill points which basically boosts our Air Damage as well!)

Concentration x 2 (Though spells are weaker, Mana Regen can still be vital for mobility and overall quickness at times. Personally, these two rings are one of my personal favourite to use throughout all levels since Mana Regen is hard to come by without drawbacks sometimes.)
Wolf Paw (Gives Earth and Air Damage %)
    Coarse Torc (Gives Earth Damage)

    https://wynndata.tk/s/wInzKB

Obviously this is probably a bit non-optimized, since I flung this out in like 10 minutes, but it will suffice to be an interesting build that utilizes a little bit of synergy between elements. Actual Class Builders will probably disagree.

PikaLegend's build is good, but honestly go get Hashr Claw, throw the rest of your sp into Intelligence, and get a few mana regen items. Hashr Claw is godly.
