    INTRODUCTION: Setting the bases

Hello everyone, I felt the urge to write this "article" after reading through some of the threads which did not achieve exactly the point of discussion or were written by a vicious feel of hate. I would like to use this discussion as a form of clarification while presenting my point of view, so I can add a perspective from both worlds as I have been an active member of them: 5 years of experience in Wynncraft (+400 hours), Ex-Mod on Hytale News, currently Mod on ServerTale and taking part in the Hytale Community Council. With that explained, let's jump into the body of the argument:

Wynncraft in Hytale? Is it worth it?? Why??

First off I think it's a priority to debunk and clarify some of the arguments people will have by the time they are reading this lines, generated by old and ambiguous threads adressing the same topic. Short answer: Wynncraft + Hytale = Never. Long aswer: Wynncraft was born despite the gigantic limitations Minecraft offers when coding or creating modless content. Hytale has an ENORMOUS focus on community based content: Through some of the recent blog posts we know now the capabilities of the modelling software, it's modular characterĂstics and the script language, which is Java.

One of the key aspects of game development is knowing the strengths of your program and using them correctly. Thats why I always get really annoyed when people compare Minecraft and Hytale, they are NOT the same, their internal structure and objectives are completely different: Ergo, Wynntale has never been an option, although It is really understandable that people suggested some form of Wynncraft with Hytale, don't get mad at them for having this passion. But here's the question I rise: Wouldn't be interesting to see a new adventure, a fresh IP, where all this power given to us in terms of freedom is used by some of the same creators of Wynncraft? And don't come saying "The team would be divided", because a lot of people including myself would be glad to help with this project in exchange of work experience, not money.

Conclusion: The solution is not copying wynncraft into a better game system, the solution is to confectionate a new game that can use all of this new features perfectly.

    That's amazing! Let's dive in!

Don't rush it. I'm just defending that the MMORPG capabilities of Hytale could work really well with a team that achieved this perfection using Minecraft. The work this suposes is really immense, and the infraestructure needed server-side or team-side is not probably what the owners are looking for. The main objective of the article is not to say "OMG PLEASE MAKE WYNNTALE" but to add some context to those old threads that didn't have a proper explanation.

Thanks for reading, and see you all in the forums.

You raise a lot of good points about an MMORPG server being in Hytale. It definitely won't be anything like Wynncraft, but absolutely something new and incredible if the new engine is properly handled to its full potential. And with the Hypixel team allowing players the keys to the system, the possibilities of game-play are near limitless.

Nevertheless, Minecraft and Wynncraft still have that particular charm to them that stops me from putting them down, even if after Hytale is released. At the end of the day, they're two different games. They just have roughly similar concepts.

Thats exactly what I think too. Minecraft since it's starts has had a charm sticked to it, and all the creators that worked around this put something personal into the mix, developing something almost unique for each server. It's a shame that now Minecraft it's only Minigames and more, and the experience has been monetized.
