    Checkmate.

Okay, as serious chess advice, I like what you tried to do for a counter attack. It was a little short handed though just because of one move you did at the beginning, knight g8 to h6.

While you did kind of defend the f7 pawn which was at the time under fire by the bishop on c4, it did not go for initiative at the center. Thus, I was able to get control of the left side (for black) of the middle and the light square diagonal my bishop was on.

Placing that knight also limits it's options of movement. So generally, knights aren't really good on the edges. There's a saying: Knights on the rim are dim.

It's always best to go and control the center, or if you're black, stop white from gaining total central control. And while you may have done that, you didn't really stop my semi-big attack. Sure, i lost two minor pieces and you lost a rook and pawn but your lack of central control and keeping the position locked didn't really help you.

One other thing I should say is that I didn't really like what you did with your b pawn. (I mean I did like it, it helped me take ur bishop but as an advisor, it was a pretty bad move).

You moved it to b6 but that stopped your dark square bishop on c5 from being able to retreat and your knight on b5 from being able to retreat. Essentially, that move really didn't help you at all and it's better to not block your bishop's diagonals with your own pawns. Also, that whole move was completely pointless anyway. The action was on the kingside, not the queenside, and thus, the move wasn't really needed.

I think my other options was to move the king or queen, both of which I didn't want to do. Prob should have moved the queen tbh.
    yep. ;~;
I kept locking my board lmao
Yeah, I don't know why I thought that was a good idea either. .-.
I think I tunneled visioned on getting a1.

Random question, which one of my moves would you change and why?

I know I keep stressing it, but your third move.

    Instead of Knight g8 to h6, I would've done Knight g8 to f6.

    Look at this.

    Chess 0120.JPG

Now, you put pressure on the e4 pawn.

    Chess 0121.JPG

Let's say I proceed with the same move and go into the Fried Liver Attack.

    Knight f3 to g5.

Now my knight and bishop are pinpointing onto the f7 pawn.

However, you can now counter with pawn d7 to d5.

Suddenly, you actually have enough defenders to stop my bishop.

You couldn't do this with your knight on h6 because my bishop could simply take the pawn without being recaptured, hence why I was able to get more center control. Here, I wouldn't have as much center control.

Locking the board isn't always necessarily a bad thing but in this game, it was beneficial for me and bad for you. And while unlocked positions are generally better for people with active rooks, even though you were down one rook, note that neither of my rooks were anywhere near active. Thus, having an unlocked position would be better for you since you would be able to perform a much stronger counter attack and not get your pieces trapped and snared by my pawns.

I'll tell you a little secret about my playstyle.

I play for the draw and always try to lock the position to make neither side gain an advantage. However, I start attacking as soon as my opponent messes up. Hence why I instantly started attacking the moment you did Knight g8 to h6. Otherwise, I would've gone for a much more passive game.

You can have another go. I can manage two at once.

Okay, Ariane takes a picture of the Empire State Building but more and more people are beginning to stare and gape at her.

She may want to get out of sight.

    What now?

Okay, do you want to be the white or black pieces?
