I'm sorry to hear that.
I've lost like 5 goldfish, but I can't have a cat or dog because I'm supposedly allergic.

I've also lost 2 goldfish (one of them died because his caudal fin slowly eaten by the other...), and it's really not the same.

I lost 1 dog to a car, one bird to my siblings, accidently let the rabbit out of the cage (they can squeeze through really small spaces. O-O), and around 30 gold fish cause I'm bad. (My aunt has the other dog now since I wasn't in a good condition to care for it, and we gave the last bird away when another sibling was born. I also used to have a cat, but moved away and had to give that away too. :c)
