They also give a ton of health and massive damage boosts (even if % melee is very underpowered in general, Warchief does its job well). It's more balanced than it used to be, certainly.

Acid being overshadowed by Saundersi Signet kind of makes sense given the huge tier disparity and lower reqs on Acid - although, the necessity of investment into Str/Dex for poison has always bugged me a little.

Dia Static Ring I can kind of see since the health penalty makes it really hard to use. That said, +10 Dex at 100 is really useful for items with 110 Dex req, and thunder mythics. The damage is fairly good, although a little low for the penalty imo.

XP bonus - there are exactly 8 such items, only three of which I've ever seen in use (Shimmersight, The Lethe, and Black Catalyst). The Lethe I don't know anything about, but Black Catalyst kind of makes sense, and Shimmersight is built around that principle anyway, being an extremely slappable item.

Ashes is only overshadowed by Contrast, which is kind of logical given that Ashes is a city merchant item and Contrast is a Master Hive item. Charm of the Magma is the only other necklace that gives more health, and that's a completely different use case from Ashes.

I also wish that normal items would be buffed, to have any niche use. Even uniques have many viable uses while normalsare completely worthless

i also wish that cascade was buffed to it’s state of only decreasing SP by -1. It wasn’t even that good in the first place.

I think cooking in general (the profession) should be buffed. In terms of crafting professions for temporary stat boosts, alchemy gives fast acting potions with a variety of ingredients to make them with while scrolls give an area of effect boost making them more beneficial for parties. What exactly does cooking do to come up to par with these two professions? There are less ingredients to work with and the items just seem to mimic potions, which, since alchemy exists, defeats the purpose.

I'd suggest reworking cooking so that you get items with weaker effects overall but extremely long durations (kind of like food from BotW). This would give you buffs that you can apply for longer events such as quests or LI without having to constantly reapply the buffs. It would make cooking stand out more and possibly be more useful than it is now.

    caprisun.PNG memetoes.PNG
Memento has a lower level requirement, takes fewer stats; same slots, better mana regen, health, and spell damage; and xp and sp regen to boot.

The only reason you would ever use Capricorn is if you really don't want to commit more to int in your build.

Ive spent alot of time collecting t3 ings, and im gonna say that the ings:
    • Squid
    • Aqua Vitae
    • Adamastors Face Plate
    • Ocea Steel
    • Red Crystal Dust
    • Limestone Core
    • Spark of the Oasis
    • Volatile Matter
    • Tungsten Chunk
    definitely deserve a buff.
    1. Squid: A 0.02% drop chance from a lvl 60 mob is also overshadowed by Cursed Ashes, a t2 ing from nearly the same level. Overall, consumables need to be fixed, as it just doesnt make sense to grind for an item for a few hours just for it to be eaten up in less than a few minutes. 2 mana steal for an incredibly rare item is just extremely disappointing.
    2. Aqua Vitae: Once again, another consumable thats hard to obtain, for little to no benefits over a t2 ingredient (Flow of Fate) not to mention that the boss altar sucks to grind, as its one of those altars that drops you 100000 blocks away from the altar upon completion.
    3. Adamastors Face Plate: Why does this exist? I can only see it being used in Earth or Fire builds, but then again, its got a +20 agil requirement.
    4. Ocea Steel: Yet again, another t3 ingredient thats bonkers hard to get, but also gets overshadowed by a t2 ing. Enhanced Behaviour Chip is a t2 ing that has the same professions as ocea, and also has another profession too. 4-16% spell and melee for -56 dura and +0 req on every skill is much more favourable than 8-12% on all, -88 dura and +50 req.
    5. Red Crystal Dust: Im not even sure if this exists in game, Ive been hunting for a red crystal for nearly 3 weeks now. -60s duration +2 charges, while draconic bone marrow is actually obtainable and has -47s duration +2 charges, and also a 20% effectiveness stat.
    6. Limestone Core: Only provides 6-8 defense, while adding a +18 defense req, as a level 37 item.
    7. Spark of the Oasis: 20-35 spell and melee raw are not that rewarding at level 30. Blood of the Nivlan Beauty has 20-25 raw spell, and is a level 8 ingredient.
    8. Volatile Matter: 22 raw melee is just not worth it for a tier 3 ingredient. While its level 20, it just doesnt make sense as alot of items at that level deal way more than 66 damage per attack.
    9. Tungsten Chunk: Why? +30 def req on a jewelling ing with barely any purpose.

Most glass cannon items need a buff to make them worth using in boss fights, as right now the risk of being one shot far outweighs the benefit of extra DPS. Dune storm and Tesla come to mind, as they’re largely overshadowed by Pride of the Aerie and Discharge, respectively.

    basically this ^

also since capri has agil, it can work to make glassy builds less glassy because agil is, in my opinion at least better than dafanse and elemental defense

also i just wanna say incase i didnt before, u dont think either memento or capri need a nerf or buff, i think theyre good where theyre at

I disagree with boreal and Cumblionimbus, given the right builds, both of them are very good.

With boreal I use my hero build, which has 5k hp Regen pre tick, 85% ws, 9 mana Regen, and 10k no, also positive element defense in everything, which is over 300 in everything expect earth.

Buffing Brainwash is pretty straightforward, just push it to 5/4 base mana regen/mana steal. Since it's removing a bunch of Int anyway, compensating for that with a ton of mr/ms would be a good reward. (that said it's still pretty useful right now as it is)

Like legit, its damage is fine, aslong as there's a group of mobs, but even with a Gemini % defense tank build, I take like 2k pre hit.
