some dumbass from /pol/ shot up a mosque in New Zealand while screaming random memes in a kiwi voice and saying sub to pewdiepie.

What's worse about this is that he live streamed this and posted a manifesto... which is 87 pages.


His goal was to cause political megalomania from all of this, and make the gun control thing spiral out of control.


What's scary about this.. I watched the footage and the dude is definitely ex military, I'd be surprised if he wasn't trained by a military sergeant or served already... plus.. the dude definitely planned this out as well. Fucking scary to think about.

It's incredibly sickening, and I hate that it happened. If you want to donate to the victims, you can do so here. And even if you don't donate, just stopping racism, islamophobia and other bigory in its tracks can go a long way. We can't let it become the norm, and we should do everything we can to prevent it.

 

Death penalty. Capital punishment without a doubt. For countries such as New Zealand that have abolished capital punishment, they should consider bringing it back for cases like this. He’s most likely going to get jail time, which is stupidly insufficient for a crime against humanity.

Why wouldn't the media start going after pewdiepie? he's let alt-right commentators onto his channel and makes 9/11 jokes and jokes about trans people and the holocaust, and despite making jokes about american politics, doesn't even live in america even though he has an american audience

While I agree that he was a meme, the joke was a straw man fallacy: Substituting a person's actual position or argument with a distorted, exaggerated, or misrepresented version of the position of the argument.

Ex: "BEN SHAPIRO COMPLETELY DESTROYS ISRAEL BECAUSE THEY SAID HE WAS SHORT"

PDP was taking Ben Shapiro seriously and gave him a platform. PDP didn't understand the joke and has associated himself with the alt-right commentator. Besides, the "triggered feminists" that he criticizes daily haven't had the luxury of being featured on his youtube channel which gets at least a couple million views per video. PDP isn't treating both sides equally, and whether it's true that "he doesn't mean it" doesn't matter because his actions show that he uses "liberal snowflakes" as clickbait and as scapegoats while following on twitter and giving a platform and respecting alt-right trump supporters to his almost 90 million subscriber YouTube channel which gets <1,000,000 views per video.

Despite going through all this drama, he hasn't really changed. Oh, also GOD FORBID anyone try and criticize him because he, of all people, needs to be helped in his time of need because he's a nice guy. I'm going to be plain and honest: when the you believe in a political idea, but then use your large platform to promote someone's ideology that is the opposite of yours, eventually landing you deep into their community, then you're worse than a hypocrite: you're a fraud because your tolerance has turned into acceptance
