Conveniently, there’s a lot of vacant areas near the wall with outlets... most of the tables are dirty though but there’s one clean table and it’s edgily in the corner of the room.

As the sound of the sirens inches closer, I immediately start thinking about how much trouble I would be in if either Mum or Dad knows about this. Not only that, I will probably be totally face expulsion from school as well.

I try to lift my body up... They won't budge. I can't move at all.

"Gruhhh....."

Whoever who summoned that explosion, I assume that it was the leader of the Fate group. What to do, what to do? The police are coming, and I have been wrapped up in this mess because I tried to help!

I muster up some words, speaking softly.

"Before we do... tell me. What is, the true purpose of your group, The Fates? Is it just to terrorize people? Some sort of cult, or a gangster mob? Looking at your plans for whatever you are planning, I doubt it is that narrow. And you guys apparently have a settlement to do with the MSAA for some reason..."

 

I turn to the guy "Also I'm not with the MSAA, i stay neutral unless someone directly invlolves me"

 

Any chance that I hear it?

So, it's been pretty clear my activity has dwindled to pretty much nothing.

I can blame this on the end of the quarter and school year coming.

Also, about roleplay things.

I do realize that I am a pretty bad writer when it comes to giving details but I have released several much more obscure and less obvious details about pretty much everything so far... including a couple totems.

Hell, that's probably why @Arch was so good at analyzing everything cuz of that one stupid ToS game.

Anyway, I've also give around like 5-10 hints about how to get the Totem of Probability by now ever since those three hexagons so be on the lookout for more although I doubt any of you are concerned about that tbh. And just because some sort of discrete hint wasn't said towards your character doesn't mean you can't use it... it's meta af afterall.

And if you care at all about some of the important NPCs, go check out what Anefei had to say about Thaen again and then go checkout what Thaen has told Saskia... although I doubt no one cares since everyone decided to pretty much get out of the tutorial as fast as possible even though you guys missed so many possible details and secrets... then again, I never really helped with that so who am I to talk.

Well ok.

The teenager punches the first employee in the jaw and that employee falls back with blood in their mouth. The teenager also had a pretty crippled right fist now... probably didn't realize how hard a punch is against a jaw.

The other employee is still unable to control the teenager though as some of his friends begin to also try and restrain him. With a combined effort from both the group and the one employee, they uh, calm the teeanager down by kinda making him pass out... wow what a really unorthodox scenario.

The employee who got punched has retreated back into the laboratory (I hope that's the right word), with some of the teenagers discussing what to do now.

That one family shielded their kid's eyes from the fight and seemed to have a phone out ready to call 911.

Heh, it's almost laughable now.

It makes you wonder why someone would do that...

The cloak dude sighs. He first replies to Rose's statement.

"Everyone in Fate has a problem with the MSAA. They don't do their f***ing jobs for one and get innocent people killed on their watch. No one can actually say they genuinely feel safe with them being the ones 'protecting us'. Shit, the stupid vigilantes actually did a better job than Order SIRIUS but when they disappeared, shit started coming back down."

He then turns to Chris.

"And you, YOU claim to be neutral..." he pauses and then thinks for a moment. "Okay actually, that's a genuine claim since we did have those thieves... BUT STILL," he regains his momentum, "why did you have to STAB my member's eye with an electric needle? You got what you wanted back, why the shit would you stab his eye with an electric needle... I get one of you can control time but shit, I can't imagine living in a world where a freaking dude with time magic can do whatever they want." ... "AND THEN YOU DECIDED TO COME HERE AND BLOW UP MY BUILDING WITH LIGHTNING! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

I guess Fabio would be able to hear sirens in the distance though... so he's a couple lengthy minutes away IF he were walking there the whole time.

Question: Do I know anything about the MSAA? Since they are technically the "police", perhaps there is some common knowledge the people know about them from the news or radios already.

 

I'd also like to know if Chris knows about the MSAA and if he's sold anything to them.

ROSE AND CHRIS ARE THE ONLY TWO IN THE GROUP WHO SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TEH GR8 MSAA.

anyway... here's some general info.

The MSAA is essentially the magical government... well self-proclaimed government of the USA. Obviously, non-magic users don't know shit cuz magic is supposed to be secret clicheclichecliche.

The MSAA is split into ... well it's supposed to be split into 50 Orders, one for each state.

Order SIRIUS is who runs the state of New York but they mainly focus on New York City cuz they don't really care about anywhere else on the state.

There was an Order called NIBIRU which ran over Washington before going corrupt and eventually being shut down.

There's a famous Order called Order LEON (cuz they decided adding an N to the constellation of LEO was smart) which runs over Texas and is known for brutality (of course xd).

Now, uh, there's also this kind of magical news system... magical based newspapers (I didn't implement the system in the 1st roleplay cuz i got lazy af) and they are basically an old news system that the MSAA relies on to spread news.

I'd assume at least Rose may be a consistent reader of the newspaper... idk about Chris but I guess he might read it occasionally.

The newspapers generally contain info on where to go if you uh, find trouble relating to magic (essentially the magic equivalent of "HEY Report Bad Things to the Police"), who is the director of Order SIRIUS (their name is Dr. Lakrow... rich woman who likes wearing white jackets), and some other news.

If your two characters would read the newspaper a lot, there used to be some news about vigilante shit 3 yrs ago... I mean it started 3 yrs ago in accordance to the timeline where this vigilante called 'The Marksman" began pretty much showing how bad Order SIRIUS is at their job until they stopped for like half a year before coming back. The Marksman was described as a small figure in a black cloak which concealed their face and they wielded a wooden bow that shot metallic / silver arrows. "The Marksman" then disappeared around uh, 3-6 months ago and magic crime rates have gone back to normal... hence the cloak guy saying "the stupid vigilantes actually did a better job than Order SIRIUS but when they disappeared, shit started coming back down."

I mean, BlueSlimerino probably remembers who The Marksman is... Tsu definitely remembers... and it's a meta roleplay so I'll allow ur characters to know who the Marksman is if you're feeling meta.

But yeah, I think that's all I have to say.

He starts to run across the street to the next block before a cop car whooshes by him almost running him over.

There's a lot of notable smoke now filling the air but Fabio doesn't hear any firetrucks in the distance...

He continues to run over to the scene and finds the Starbucks that Justin talked about going to... except the apartment buildings on top of it are partially destroyed, there's a lot of rubble on the ground, several cars are smashed, and the top part of the building is on fire...

Yeah somehow he beat the cop car xd

Maybe the guy is allowing Ariane to use it to go wherever she needs to go for now... or something.

"I didn't realise your building would be so fragile to be damaged by lightning, I mean you are a magic organization did you really expect it to not get damaged when exposed to magic? I see, so MSAA is like the entire magical police force of America, and then there is Order of SIRIUS who is the specific police force for New York Manhattan city.

With the fact that this, and knowing about the story of the vigilante, it looks like Fate is an organization that is hoping to revive the "will" and motives of "The Marksman", for the reason that they too believe that SIRIUS is either corrupt or useless. This part, I think I get it.

I am sincerely morally conflicted. At the same time, these Fate people may be on to some truth, but the way they are doing it...

"The... The police..." I try standing up, but being severely injured, I can only harness enough energy to raise my hand up to point outside, towards ever closing in sirens. "They are coming... What do you guys plan to do?"
