Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie chuckles a bit.

"She's a draconian. She's meant to." Katie says happily.

 

“Don-t th-ey on-ly have two?”

Ihra folds in her seraphic wings, a bit nervous.

 

"Great. Hope for the best then."

And I'll walk inside.

 

You barely fit, though being covered from the gentle breeze is already noticably warmer.

It gets even warmer once Anne sits down near you.
“I don’t think there’s anything bigger around here.”

 

"Don't worry... I'll make due."

 

Crystal just watches Puddles out of boredom.

 

Katie just shrugs, trying to use her good mood to distract herself.

 

The voidling keeps silent, seeming a bit annoyed that Ihra is taking up its role as guide.
Fortunately, none of the void creatures seem to be even remotely curious about Katie or Ihra this time.

Her fangs wrap around the chain akin to a flytrap, though miscellaneous teeth stick out between the links and out of what seems like the flesh of her mouth.

"I'll keep an eye out for the naga. If you wake up and I'm not around, there should be other foxes around here that'll go get me."

 

Katie unconsciously sticks close to Ihra, trying to keep herself upbeat; though she flinches at anything looking at her.

 

Ihra takes notice, trying to help Katie keep up her ruse.
"So, how's Kiin doing?"

 

"Sure."

 

"She's as energetic as ever. It's still kind of strange having a younger sister though," Katie says, "Abigail's sort of been my older sister, so maybe I can take after her!"

 

Crystal thinks for a minute before picking the pallet up and helping her carry it.

 

Ihra gives Katie a nervous smile, falling silent.

Puddles does't seem to realize this, still asleep as the chain hangs loosely over the ground.

"Well... hopefully we get an answer by morning. See you then." Anne says, starting to climb up a nearby tree.

 

Crystal continues to help, shifting a bit to accommodate the weight.

 

"Could you maybe make a small bonfire before you go to sleep?"

 

Katie doesn't say much, but sighs after a bit of travel.

 

"...Has Abigail been okay?"

Anne sighs.
"That's how you burn down a forest." She says before curling up next to you.

She's about as warm as having a fire nearby.

Linoa doesn't seem to realize what he's doing, tugging a bit on the tether which causes Crystal to put some tension on the chain.
Puddles lets off a low growl, but doesn't otherwise stir.
Shack glances over and disregards the situation just as quickly as it took his attention.

 

"Just dig a hole in the ground and put some twigs in it, if you need twigs."

 

“Honestly, I was just gonna have someone else watch for naga in my stead so I could sleep. I already sent them off, so... I’ll keep you warm... if you don’t mind that, of course.”
